AUGMENTED REALITY (AR)
AR is merging physical reality into digital or virtual reality.
An external aid to human any/all sensory part is always essential to
simulate AR. Example Optical device, audio output devices.
AR was under development since last decade and has recently
gained more ground due to widespread usage/sale/production of
digital devices and simultaneously due to ease of access to internet.
Projects from technology enthusiasts and giants like Google have
also pushed the concept forward into reality.
AR has evolved from Bar codes and QRcodes. Earlier it was the
ability to process 2D data(used for text generation) and now it has
the ability to process multiple layers of data like audio, graphical,
GPS, vibrations and many other.
Is AR same as VR(Virtual Reality)
Virtual Reality refers to a computer simulated environment which
can be interacted with. In VR the environment is simulated around
the object while in AR the object is simulated in the real world.
AR has multiple uses in many fields like audiovisual translation of
languages, getting live info from objects, real time simulation &
visualization and many more.
All in all we are going to see a lot of AR in coming few years.

MAJOR
FAILED PRODUCT-APPLES PUCK MOUSE
The Puck mouse is the first USB mouse delivered by Apple in the
year 1998. Its shapes resembles a Hockey Puck hence Puck mouse
and was supplied with IMacs.
Like all other previous Apple Mice, the Puck Mouse was also a single
buttoned mouse. The mouse discontinued in 2000 just two years
after its launch.
The previous generation of Apple mice saw Lisa and Macintosh
followed by Apple Mouse, Apple Mouse II and Apple ADB mouse
before the appearance of Puck mouse.
The Puck Mouse was fashionable as compared to other Mice in the
competition. These were available in 7 rainbow colors with cloudy
translucent bodies.
The Puck mouse measures 60-75mm in diameter and was not much
comfortable to hold and work with and also had a tendency to
rotate while working due to the circular shape.
Due to poor ergonomic shape various third party companies started
providing attachable casings which would give the Puck mouse a
much better ergonomic shape.
Also it had a very short chord, measuring 60mm connected on the
left hand side of the IMac which made it difficult to be use by the
right hand users.
Apple discontinued this mouse and launched Apple PRO, Mighty and
lastly Apple Magic mouse which continues till now.
In near future it is inevitable that the mouse is totally replaced by
sensory input devices .
