Concept Map Graphic Organizer Assignment

For this activity, you will be creating a concept map to organize the information that you find in the different materials
you have used to gather information. It will serve as a way to aid in your deeper understanding of the material learned
in this unit thus far. This concept map will allow you to illustrate the similarities and differences between the different
solids we have discussed throughout the unit in a visually pleasing way. To show the similarities, you may connect two
different solids to the same property. A few examples of concept maps are given below:

Your concept maps do not have to look exactly like any of the above examples, but make sure to incorporate as many
properties that you can, and to illustrate any similarities between different solids. I would suggest that you create a
sketch of your map as you go along before attempting to create your final map! You will have a week to analyze each of
the materials for this assignment and to complete your finalized concept map.
Once you have created your concept map, write at least a paragraph explaining your map, writing about what different
solids have in common and explicitly stating how you can find the volume of each solid.
