Why not accept Gods forgiveness and invite
Jesus into your life right now? Just talk to him
like you would to a long lost friend. Open your
heart and pray:
Father, thank you for your love for me! I confess
my sins and ask for your forgiveness. I realize
that Jesus is the way, the truth and the life and no
one can come to you except through him. I ask
you to come into my heart, to be my Lord and
Savior. From now on I want to live for you and
be on your winning team.

Yes, sin is like a big wall that separates
us from God. And there is nothing we can do
to deserve or buy our way through it. God,
however, provided one way we can get through
to Him and He offers it to us free*: Jesus death
on the cross. Now it is up to you. Will you accept
his offer? He gave you His life, will you give
Him yours?
Jesus answered, I am
the way and the truth
and the life. No one
comes to the Father
except through me
(John 14:6).

By now youve fgured out that this isnt
your average soccer story. Its a parable about
how God, our very own Creator, sent His Son as
living proof of His love for us.
You see, every last one of us got on the wrong
side and became enemies of God by the bad
choices we made in life: namely, to leave Him
out, to ignore His will and to outright disobey
Him. Thats why He sent his Son Jesus: to die for
our sins so we can get on Gods winning team.
Perhaps at that point you began to feel
that life was just a meaningless game which
had lost all of its pizazz and left you with an
empty feeling. And perhaps you tried to fll that
emptiness with sports, food, sex, beer, drugs,
parties, self-help books, psychic experiences,
mystical religions, or the sort. If you did, you
became painfully aware that something was still
missing.
Man, do I ever
feel empty! Come with me. My father
made you and I came to take
you back to him.
But wait! Dont lose faith now this is the
best part of the story. You see, although life has
taught you not to open your heart, share your
true feelings, or trust others too much, there
really is Someone who is actually on your side.
In fact Hes like a good coach who, more than
anything, wants to see you succeed. Sure, prove
it!, you might be thinking. Well He did, by
sending His only Son.
Wow! What could be
better than this?
