HIX recently tested two equal machines; a stock HIX press with black
PTFE, non stick coated heat platen and one without the coating. We
hooked up a voltage meter to each to measure how much electricity
each machine uses. The non coated heat platen on our standard stock
heat press used 43% less electricity to operate than the heat press with
the Black PTFE coating! How can this be true? The answer is simple
and its physics!
In physics there is a phenomena called Black Body Radiation where
the color black not only absorbs more IR heat, it also radiates and there-
fore uses more heat. Science doesnt lie; the customer and work area

HIGH VOLUME
The HIX High Output Super Shuttle HOSS automatic press was created for high volume production applications. This press is fully automatic
with four 16x20 alternating work stations and can produce up to 600 fnished shirts per hour.
The HOSS is fully automatic, all the operator(s) needs to do is load the shirt/transfer on the pallet to the right (it cycles automatically), and
then load a shirt/transfer on the left pallet (it cycles automatically) when the right pallet returns, peel the transfer and repeat the process.
*Production formula: 6 sec. machine cycle + 6 sec. transfer time = 12 sec. total time per transfer; 12 sec. per transfer = 5 transfers per min.
