so*ial *onta*t$ ensure that their parents are happy$ and to o!ey their parents

tedious to %rasp its true meanin%+ Moreover$ in*reasin% so*ial pressure from
nei%h!ors and family mem!ers to support finan*ial dealin% for the parents to live in
elderly homes is mountin%+ No#adays$ so*ial pressures are influen*in% the *han%in%
*ultural trend of elder4s per*eption of filial piety to a more modern perspe*tive+
5ut #hat it really means to !e filial6 0o #e really need to sa*rifi*e one thin%
for the other6 3n my opinion$ !etter understandin% of the needs$ not only for the
elderly !ut for the family as #ell must !e %iven *onsideration+ 3 still !elieve that
emotional and physi*al *onta*t is e"pe*ted from the *hildren+ Compromise is the /ey
to attainin% mutual understandin% and fulfillin% ea*h other4s ne*essity+ 5esides
so*iety needs to /eep in mind that respe*t and attention to#ards elderly people is
the %olden rule of our universe: the #ay you treat others is the #ay you #ill !e
treated in the future+
