Armageddon/Megiddo and Hamon-gog

The battles of Armageddon and Hamon-gog are the battles of the very end times that I understand to
take place simultaneously in two different geographical locations.

From Smith’s Bible Dictionary

Armageddon and Megiddo

ÄRMAGED’DON. A name for the plain of Jezreel.

ESDRAELO N . Mount Megiddo (Rev. xvi. 16). There is a
symbolical meaning attached to this name and place
which it is impossible to explain in this limited space. It
may be interesting to recount the several great battles
fought on the plain, which have given it a solemn
importance in history. The great victory of Barak over the
Canaanites (Judg. iv., v.), and of Gideon over the
Midianites (Judg. vii); and two great disasters—the death
of Saul (1 Sam. xxi. 8) in the invasion of the Philistines, and
the death of Josiah in the invasion of the Egyptians (2 K.
xxiii. 29). See JEZREEL.

MEGIDDO (place of troops). An ancient royal city of the

Canaanites, on the south border of the plain of Esdraëlon,
commanding a pass leading from the plain to the Samarian
hills (Josh. xii. 21). In the territory of Issachar, but belonging
to Manasseh. The people were not driven out, but paid
tribute (Judg. I. 27, 28). It is made famous in the song of
victory of Deborah, when Barak defeated Sisera (Judg.
iv.13, etc.). One of Solomon’s officers was placed here ,
and some important works built (1 K. ix. 15). Ahaziah fled
here from Jehu, and died (2 K. ix. 27). The “good king”
Josiah “went against” Pharaoh Necho, as an ally of the king
of Assyria, was wounded here, and died at Jerusalem (2
Chr. xxxv. 22–24). From this event the name of the place
became a poetical synonym for terrible conflict and grief;
as in the Revelation (xvi. 16. See also Zech. xii. 11; 2 Chr.
xxxv 25.) El Lejjun. Waters of Megiddo. See KISHO N .

KISH’ON, THE RIVER (Judg. iv. 7). Drains Esdraëlon and neighboring hills, being fed by the large spring of
water at Daberath (Deburieh) at the N. W. of Mt. Tabor, and by another large fountain at En Gannim
(Jenin), which is its most remote source; and also by the waters of Megiddo (a spring at Lejjun), running
along the north base of Carmel. After receiving many small tributaries from the hills on each side, it enters
the plain of Acre by the narrow pass between Harosheth (Tell Harotieth) and Carmel, just below which it
receives Wady Malik, with drainage from the plain of Zebulon (Buttauf), as far as Mt. Kurn Hattin, araba,

1
and Jabel Kaukab, near Cana. Below this point it is fed by the very copious fountains (Saadiyeh) three
miles S. E. of Hepha (Caiffa), and others from under Carmel (Shaw), when it empties into the Bay of Acre
near Caiffa, the last few miles only being a river with water year round, flowing between banks of loamy
soil fifteen feet high, with a stream 50 to 75 feet across. The whole system of tributaries above Harosheth
are dry wadys through the summer or dry season. There are many historical associations belonging to this
river, referred to in other places. See Armageddon. (Land and Book, c. xxix).

Hamon-gog

HA’MONGOG, THE VALLEY OF (Gog’s multitude). Name given to a glen on the east of the sea (Ez. xxxix.
11, 15).

Related to Hamon-gog

G3G (mountain). 1. Son of Shemaiah, of Reuben (1 Chr. v. 4).—2 MAGO G .—3. In the Septuagint of Num.
xxiv. 9, Gog is instead of Agag. Gog, as used by Ezekiel (xxxviii. xxxix), means the head or the chief of
Magog; and also John (Rev. xx. 8–10), making Gog and Magog persons.

MA’GOG. Second son of Japheth (Gen. x. 2), and founder of a race (Rev. xx. 8), the great Scythian tribe,
now called Russian. Ezekiel places the nation in the north (xxxix. 2), near Togarmah, and the maritime
regions of Europe (v. 6). They had cavalry and used bows. In the 7th century B.C. they were a formidable
power, felt through the whole of Western Asia. They took Sardis (B.C. 629), and overran the country as
far as Egypt, where they were turned back by a bribe given by Psammetichus, and took Ascalon.

Manasseh and Megiddo

Megiddo Part of Manasseh’s Inheritance

The Joshua Account

Jos 17:1 There was also a lot for the tribe of Manasseh; for he was the firstborn of Joseph; to wit, for
Machir the firstborn of Manasseh, the father of Gilead: because he was a man of war, therefore he had
Gilead and Bashan.
Jos 17:2 There was also a lot for the rest of the children of Manasseh by their families; for the children of
Abiezer, and for the children of Helek, and for the children of Asriel, and for the children of Shechem,
and for the children of Hepher, and for the children of Shemida: these were the male children of
Manasseh the son of Joseph by their families.
Jos 17:3 But Zelophehad, the son of Hepher, the son of Gilead, the son of Machir, the son of
Manasseh, had no sons, but daughters: and these are the names of his daughters, Mahlah, and Noah,
Hoglah, Milcah, and Tirzah.
Jos 17:4 And they came near before Eleazar the priest, and before Joshua the son of Nun, and before
the princes, saying, “The LORD commanded Moses to give us an inheritance among our brethren.”
Therefore according to the commandment of the LORD he gave them an inheritance among the brethren
of their father.
Jos 17:5 And there fell ten portions to Manasseh, beside the land of Gilead and Bashan, which were on
the other side Jordan;
Jos 17:6 Because the daughters of Manasseh had an inheritance among his sons: and the rest of
Manasseh’s sons had the land of Gilead.

4
Jos 17:7 And the coast of Manasseh was from Asher to Michmethah, that lieth before Shechem; and
the border went along on the right hand unto the inhabitants of En-tappuah.
Jos 17:8 Now Manasseh had the land of Tappuah: but Tappuah on the border of Manasseh belonged
to the children of Ephraim;
Jos 17:9 And the coast descended unto the river Kanah, southward of the river: these cities of Ephraim
are among the cities of Manasseh: the coast of Manasseh also was on the north side of the river, and the
outgoings of it were at the sea:
Jos 17:10 Southward it was Ephraim’s, and northward it was Manasseh’s, and the sea is his border; and
they met together in Asher on the north, and in Issachar on the east.
Jos 17:11 And Manasseh had in Issachar and in Asher Beth-shean and her towns, and Ibleam and her
towns, and the inhabitants of Dor and her towns, and the inhabitants of En-dor and her towns, and the
inhabitants of Taanach and her towns, and the inhabitants of Megiddo and her towns, even three
countries.
Jos 17:12 Yet the children of Manasseh could not drive out the inhabitants of those cities; but the
Canaanites would dwell in that land.
Jos 17:13 Yet it came to pass, when the children of Israel were waxen strong, that they put the
Canaanites to tribute; but did not utterly drive them out.
Jos 17:14 And the children of Joseph spake unto Joshua, saying, “Why hast thou given me but one lot
and one portion to inherit, seeing I am a great people, forasmuch as the LORD hath blessed me hitherto?”
Jos 17:15 And Joshua answered them, “If thou be a great people, then get thee up to the wood
country, and cut down for thyself there in the land of the Perizzites and of the giants, if mount Ephraim
be too narrow for thee. “
Jos 17:16 And the children of Joseph said, “The hill is not enough for us: and all the Canaanites that
dwell in the land of the valley have chariots of iron, both they who are of Beth-shean and her towns, and
they who are of the valley of Jezreel.”
Jos 17:17 And Joshua spake unto the house of Joseph, even to Ephraim and to Manasseh, saying,
“Thou art a great people, and hast great power: thou shalt not have one lot only:
Jos 17:18 But the mountain shall be thine; for it is a wood, and thou shalt cut it down: and the
outgoings of it shall be thine: for thou shalt drive out the Canaanites, though they have iron chariots, and
though they be strong.”

The Chronicles Account

1Ch 7:29 And by the borders of the children of Manasseh, Beth-shean and her towns, Taanach and her
towns, Megiddo and her towns, Dor and her towns. In these dwelt the children of Joseph the son of
Israel.

Manasseh Fails to Drive Out Inhabitants of Megiddo

Jdg 1:27 Neither did Manasseh drive out the inhabitants of Beth-shean and her towns, nor Taanach and
her towns, nor the inhabitants of Dor and her towns, nor the inhabitants of Ibleam and her towns, nor the
inhabitants of Megiddo and her towns: but the Canaanites would dwell in that land.
Jdg 1:28 And it came to pass, when Israel was strong, that they put the Canaanites to tribute, and did
not utterly drive them out.

Battle Against Sisera Fought at Megiddo

5
The Battle

Jdg 4:1 And the children of Israel again did evil in the sight of the LORD , when Ehud was dead.
Jdg 4:2 And the LORD sold them into the hand of Jabin king of Canaan, that reigned in Hazor; the captain
of whose host was Sisera, which dwelt in Harosheth of the Gentiles.
Jdg 4:3 And the children of Israel cried unto the LORD : for he had nine hundred chariots of iron; and
twenty years he mightily oppressed the children of Israel.
Jdg 4:4 And Deborah, a prophetess, the wife of Lapidoth, she judged Israel at that time.
Jdg 4:5 And she dwelt under the palm tree of Deborah between Ramah and Beth-el in mount Ephraim:
and the children of Israel came up to her for judgment.
Jdg 4:6 And she sent and called Barak the son of Abinoam out of Kedesh-naphtali, and said unto him,
“Hath not the LORD God of Israel commanded, saying, ‘Go and draw toward mount Tabor, and take with
thee ten thousand men of the children of Naphtali and of the children of Zebulun?
Jdg 4:7 And I will draw unto thee to the river Kishon Sisera, the captain of Jabin’s army, with his chariots
and his multitude; and I will deliver him into thine hand.’”
Jdg 4:8 And Barak said unto her, “If thou wilt go with me, then I will go: but if thou wilt not go with me,
then I will not go.”
Jdg 4:9 And she said, “I will surely go with thee: notwithstanding the journey that thou takest shall not be
for thine honour; for the LORD shall sell Sisera into the hand of a woman.” And Deborah arose, and went
with Barak to Kedesh.
Jdg 4:10 And Barak called Zebulun and Naphtali to Kedesh; and he went up with ten thousand men at
his feet: and Deborah went up with him.
Jdg 4:11 Now Heber the Kenite, which was of the children of Hobab the father in law of Moses, had
severed himself from the Kenites, and pitched his tent unto the plain of Zaanaim, which is by Kedesh.
Jdg 4:12 And they shewed Sisera that Barak the son of Abinoam was gone up to mount Tabor.
Jdg 4:13 And Sisera gathered together all his chariots, even nine hundred chariots of iron, and all the
people that were with him, from Harosheth of the Gentiles unto the river of Kishon.
Jdg 4:14 And Deborah said unto Barak, “Up; for this is the day in which the LORD hath delivered Sisera
into thine hand: is not the LORD gone out before thee?” So Barak went down from mount Tabor, and ten
thousand men after him.
Jdg 4:15 And the LORD discomfited Sisera, and all his chariots, and all his host, with the edge of the
sword before Barak; so that Sisera lighted down off his chariot, and fled away on his feet.
Jdg 4:16 But Barak pursued after the chariots, and after the host, unto Harosheth of the Gentiles: and all
the host of Sisera fell upon the edge of the sword; and there was not a man left.
Jdg 4:17 Howbeit Sisera fled away on his feet to the tent of Jael the wife of Heber the Kenite: for there
was peace between Jabin the king of Hazor and the house of Heber the Kenite.
Jdg 4:18 And Jael went out to meet Sisera, and said unto him, “Turn in, my lord, turn in to me; fear not.”
And when he had turned in unto her into the tent, she covered him with a mantle.
Jdg 4:19 And he said unto her, “Give me, I pray thee, a little water to drink; for I am thirsty.” And she
opened a bottle of milk, and gave him drink, and covered him.
Jdg 4:20 Again he said unto her, “Stand in the door of the tent, and it shall be, when any man doth
come and enquire of thee, and say, ‘Is there any man here?’ that thou shalt say, ‘No.’”S
Jdg 4:21 Then Jael Heber’s wife took a nail of the tent, and took an hammer in her hand, and went softly
unto him, and smote the nail into his temples, and fastened it into the ground: for he was fast asleep and
weary. So he died.
Jdg 4:22 And, behold, as Barak pursued Sisera, Jael came out to meet him, and said unto him, “Come,

6
and I will shew thee the man whom thou seekest.” And when he came into her tent, behold, Sisera lay
dead, and the nail was in his temples.
Jdg 4:23 So God subdued on that day Jabin the king of Canaan before the children of Israel.
Jdg 4:24 And the hand of the children of Israel prospered, and prevailed against Jabin the king of
Canaan, until they had destroyed Jabin king of Canaan.

The Song of Deborah and Barak

In verses 19-21, the waters of Megiddo, among other sources of water, fed the river Kishon (see Smith’s
Bible Dictionary entry on Kishon).

Jdg 5:1 Then sang Deborah and Barak the son of Abinoam on that day, saying,
Jdg 5:2 “Praise ye the LORD for the avenging of Israel, when the people willingly offered themselves.
Jdg 5:3 Hear, O ye kings; give ear, O ye princes; I, even I, will sing unto the LORD ; I will sing praise to the
LORD God of Israel.
Jdg 5:4 LORD , when Thou wentest out of Seir, when Thou marchedst out of the field of Edom, the earth
trembled, and the heavens dropped, the clouds also dropped water.
Jdg 5:5 The mountains melted from before the LORD , even that Sinai from before the LORD God of Israel.
Jdg 5:6 In the days of Shamgar the son of Anath, in the days of Jael, the highways were unoccupied,
and the travellers walked through byways.
Jdg 5:7 The inhabitants of the villages ceased, they ceased in Israel, until that I Deborah arose, that I
arose a mother in Israel.
Jdg 5:8 They chose new gods; then was war in the gates: was there a shield or spear seen among forty
thousand in Israel?
Jdg 5:9 My heart is toward the governors of Israel, that offered themselves willingly among the people.
Bless ye the LORD .
Jdg 5:10 Speak, ye that ride on white asses, ye that sit in judgment, and walk by the way.
Jdg 5:11 They that are delivered from the noise of archers in the places of drawing water, there shall
they rehearse the righteous acts of the LORD , even the righteous acts toward the inhabitants of his villages
in Israel: then shall the people of the LORD go down to the gates.
Jdg 5:12 Awake, awake, Deborah: awake, awake, utter a song: arise, Barak, and lead thy captivity
captive, thou son of Abinoam.
Jdg 5:13 Then He made him that remaineth have dominion over the nobles among the people: the LORD
made me have dominion over the mighty.
Jdg 5:14 Out of Ephraim was there a root of them against Amalek; after thee, Benjamin, among thy
people; out of Machir came down governors, and out of Zebulun they that handle the pen of the writer.
Jdg 5:15 And the princes of Issachar were with Deborah; even Issachar, and also Barak: he was sent on
foot into the valley. For the divisions of Reuben there were great thoughts of heart.
Jdg 5:16 Why abodest thou among the sheepfolds, to hear the bleatings of the flocks? For the divisions
of Reuben there were great searchings of heart.
Jdg 5:17 Gilead abode beyond Jordan: and why did Dan remain in ships? Asher continued on the sea
shore, and abode in his breaches.
Jdg 5:18 Zebulun and Naphtali were a people that jeoparded their lives unto the death in the high
places of the field.
Jdg 5:19 The kings came and fought, then fought the kings of Canaan in Taanach by the waters of
Megiddo; they took no gain of money.
Jdg 5:20 They fought from heaven; the stars in their courses fought against Sisera.

7
Jdg 5:21 The river of Kishon swept them away, that ancient river, the river Kishon. O my soul, thou hast
trodden down strength.
Jdg 5:22 Then were the horsehoofs broken by the means of the pransings, the pransings of their mighty
ones.
Jdg 5:23 Curse ye Meroz, said the angel of the LORD , curse ye bitterly the inhabitants thereof; because
they came not to the help of the LORD , to the help of the LORD against the mighty.
Jdg 5:24 Blessed above women shall Jael the wife of Heber the Kenite be, blessed shall she be above
women in the tent.
Jdg 5:25 He asked water, and she gave him milk; she brought forth butter in a lordly dish.
Jdg 5:26 She put her hand to the nail, and her right hand to the workmen’s hammer; and with the
hammer she smote Sisera, she smote off his head, when she had pierced and stricken through his
temples.
Jdg 5:27 At her feet he bowed, he fell, he lay down: at her feet he bowed, he fell: where he bowed,
there he fell down dead.
Jdg 5:28 The mother of Sisera looked out at a window, and cried through the lattice, “Why is his chariot
so long in coming? why tarry the wheels of his chariots?”
Jdg 5:29 Her wise ladies answered her, yea, she returned answer to herself,
Jdg 5:30 Have they not sped? have they not divided the prey; to every man a damsel or two; to Sisera
a prey of divers colours, a prey of divers colours of needlework, of divers colours of needlework on
both sides, meet for the necks of them that take the spoil?
Jdg 5:31 So let all thine enemies perish, O LORD : but let them that love Him be as the sun when he goeth
forth in his might. And the land had rest forty years.

Solomon Raises Levy in Part to Build Megiddo

1Ki 9:15 And this is the reason of the levy which king Solomon raised; for to build the house of the
LORD , and his own house, and Millo, and the wall of Jerusalem, and Hazor, and Megiddo, and Gezer.
1Ki 9:16 For Pharaoh king of Egypt had gone up, and taken Gezer, and burnt it with fire, and slain the
Canaanites that dwelt in the city, and given it for a present unto his daughter, Solomon’s wife.

Royal Deaths at Megiddo

Ahaziah Dies at Megiddo

2Ki 9:23 And Joram turned his hands, and fled, and said to Ahaziah, “There is treachery, O Ahaziah.”
2Ki 9:24 And Jehu drew a bow with his full strength, and smote Jehoram between his arms, and the
arrow went out at his heart, and he sunk down in his chariot.
2Ki 9:25 Then said Jehu to Bidkar his captain, “Take up, and cast him in the portion of the field of Naboth
the Jezreelite: for remember how that, when I and thou rode together after Ahab his father, the LORD laid
this burden upon him;
2Ki 9:26 Surely I have seen yesterday the blood of Naboth, and the blood of his sons,” saith the LORD ;
and I will requite thee in this plat,” saith the LORD . “Now therefore take and cast him into the plat of
ground, according to the word of the LORD .”
2Ki 9:27 But when Ahaziah the king of Judah saw this, he fled by the way of the garden house. And
Jehu followed after him, and said, “Smite him also in the chariot.” And they did so at the going up to Gur,
which is by Ibleam. And he fled to Megiddo, and died there.
2Ki 9:28 And his servants carried him in a chariot to Jerusalem, and buried him in his sepulchre with his
fathers in the city of David.

Josiah Mortally Wounded at Megiddo

The Kings Account

2Ki 23:29 In his days Pharaoh-nechoh king of Egypt went up against the king of Assyria to the river
Euphrates: and king Josiah went against him; and he slew him at Megiddo, when he had seen him.
2Ki 23:30 And his servants carried him in a chariot dead from Megiddo, and brought him to Jerusalem,
and buried him in his own sepulchre. And the people of the land took Jehoahaz the son of Josiah, and
anointed him, and made him king in his father’s stead.

The Chronicles Account

2Ch 35:19 In the eighteenth year of the reign of Josiah was this passover kept.
2Ch 35:20 After all this, when Josiah had prepared the temple, Necho king of Egypt came up to fight
against Carchemish by Euphrates: and Josiah went out against him.
2Ch 35:21 But he sent ambassadors to him, saying, “What have I to do with thee, thou king of Judah? I
come not against thee this day, but against the house wherewith I have war: for God commanded me to
make haste: forbear thee from meddling with God, Who is with me, that He destroy thee not.”

the valley of Megiddo.
2Ch 35:23 And the archers shot at king Josiah; and the king said to his servants, “Have me away; for I am

Zechariah

Zec 12:1 The burden of the word of the LORD for Israel, saith the LORD , Which stretcheth forth the
heavens, and layeth the foundation of the earth, and formeth the spirit of man within him.
Zec 12:2 “Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling unto all the people round about, when they
shall be in the siege both against Judah and against Jerusalem.
Zec 12:3 And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden
themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against
it.
Zec 12:4 In that day, saith the LORD , I will smite every horse with astonishment, and his rider with
madness: and I will open mine eyes upon the house of Judah, and will smite every horse of the people
with blindness.
Zec 12:5 And the governors of Judah shall say in their heart, The inhabitants of Jerusalem shall be my
strength in the LORD of hosts their God.
Zec 12:6 In that day will I make the governors of Judah like an hearth of fire among the wood, and like a
torch of fire in a sheaf; and they shall devour all the people round about, on the right hand and on the
left: and Jerusalem shall be inhabited again in her own place, even in Jerusalem.
Zec 12:7 The LORD also shall save the tents of Judah first, that the glory of the house of David and the
glory of the inhabitants of Jerusalem do not magnify themselves against Judah.
Zec 12:8 In that day shall the LORD defend the inhabitants of Jerusalem; and he that is feeble among
them at that day shall be as David; and the house of David shall be as God, as the angel of the LORD
before them.
Zec 12:9 And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against
Jerusalem.
Zec 12:10 And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of
grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon Me Whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn
for Him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for Him, as one that is in bitterness
for his firstborn.
Zec 12:11 In that day shall there be a great mourning in Jerusalem, as the mourning of Hadadrimmon in

10
the valley of Megiddon.
Zec 12:12 And the land shall mourn, every family apart; the family of the house of David* apart, and
their wives apart; the family of the house of Nathan* apart, and their wives apart;
Zec 12:13 The family of the house of Levi* apart, and their wives apart; the family of Shimei* apart, and
their wives apart;
Zec 12:14 All the families that remain, every family apart, and their wives apart.”

*David was the father of the king line in Judah. Nathan was in Christ’s line. Levi was the father of the priest
line. Shimei was a Levite, a Gershonite. The Gershonites were numbered at 7,500 in Numbers 3:22. They
were in charge of the tabernacle, tent, covering, hanging for the door of the tabernacle of the
congregation, hangings of the court, the curtain for the door of the court which is by the tabernacle and
by the altar round about, and the cords of it for all the service thereof.

Battle of Armageddon Takes Place at the Pouring of the Sixth Vial

Rev 16:12 And the sixth angel poured out his vial upon the great river Euphrates; and the water thereof
was dried up, that the way of the kings of the east might be prepared.
Rev 16:13 And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of
the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet.
Rev 16:14 For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth
and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.
Rev 16:15 Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk
naked, and they see his shame.
Rev 16:16 And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon.

Hamon-gog
The Battle Detailed in Ezekiel

Eze 39:1 Therefore, thou son of man, prophesy against Gog, and say, “Thus saith the Lord GOD;
‘Behold, I am against thee, O Gog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal:
Eze 39:2 And I will turn thee back, and leave but the sixth part of thee, and will cause thee to come up
from the north parts, and will bring thee upon the mountains of Israel:
Eze 39:3 And I will smite thy bow out of thy left hand, and will cause thine arrows to fall out of thy right
hand.
Eze 39:4 Thou shalt fall upon the mountains of Israel, thou, and all thy bands, and the people that is with
thee: I will give thee unto the ravenous birds of every sort, and to the beasts of the field to be
devoured.
Eze 39:5 Thou shalt fall upon the open field: for I have spoken it, saith the Lord GOD.
Eze 39:6 And I will send a fire on Magog, and among them that dwell carelessly in the isles: and they
shall know that I am the LORD .
Eze 39:7 So will I make My holy name known in the midst of My people Israel; and I will not let them
pollute My holy name any more: and the heathen shall know that I am the LORD , the Holy One in Israel.
Eze 39:8 Behold, it is come, and it is done,” saith the Lord GOD; “this is the day whereof I have spoken.
Eze 39:9 And they that dwell in the cities of Israel shall go forth, and shall set on fire and burn the
weapons, both the shields and the bucklers, the bows and the arrows, and the handstaves, and the
spears, and they shall burn them with fire seven years:

11
Eze 39:10 So that they shall take no wood out of the field, neither cut down any out of the forests; for
they shall burn the weapons with fire: and they shall spoil those that spoiled them, and rob those that
robbed them,” saith the Lord GOD.
Eze 39:11 “And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will give unto Gog a place there of graves in Israel,
the valley of the passengers on the east of the sea: and it shall stop the noses of the passengers: and
there shall they bury Gog and all his multitude: and they shall call it The valley of Hamon-gog.
Eze 39:12 And seven months shall the house of Israel be burying of them, that they may cleanse the
land.
Eze 39:13 Yea, all the people of the land shall bury them; and it shall be to them a renown the day that I
shall be glorified,” saith the Lord GOD.
Eze 39:14 And they shall sever out men of continual employment, passing through the land to bury with
the passengers those that remain upon the face of the earth, to cleanse it: after the end of seven months
shall they search.
Eze 39:15 And the passengers that pass through the land, when any seeth a man’s bone, then shall he
set up a sign by it, till the buriers have buried it in the valley of Hamon-gog.
Eze 39:16 And also the name of the city shall be Hamonah. Thus shall they cleanse the land.
Eze 39:17 And, thou son of man,” thus saith the Lord GOD; “Speak unto every feathered fowl, and to
every beast of the field, ‘Assemble yourselves, and come; gather yourselves on every side to My
sacrifice that I do sacrifice for you, even a great sacrifice upon the mountains of Israel, that ye may eat
flesh, and drink blood.
Eze 39:18 Ye shall eat the flesh of the mighty, and drink the blood of the princes of the earth, of rams,
of lambs, and of goats, of bullocks, all of them fatlings of Bashan.
Eze 39:19 And ye shall eat fat till ye be full, and drink blood till ye be drunken, of My sacrifice which I
have sacrificed for you.
Eze 39:20 Thus ye shall be filled at My table with horses and chariots, with mighty men, and with all men
of war,’” saith the Lord GOD.
Eze 39:21 “And I will set My glory among the heathen, and all the heathen shall see My judgment that I
have executed, and My hand that I have laid upon them.
Eze 39:22 So the house of Israel shall know that I am the LORD their God from that day and forward.
Eze 39:23 And the heathen shall know that the house of Israel went into captivity for their iniquity:
because they trespassed against Me, therefore hid I My face from them, and gave them into the hand of
their enemies: so fell they all by the sword.
Eze 39:24 According to their uncleanness and according to their transgressions have I done unto them,
and hid My face from them.
Eze 39:25 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; “Now will I bring again the captivity of Jacob, and have
mercy upon the whole house of Israel, and will be jealous for My holy name;
Eze 39:26 After that they have borne their shame, and all their trespasses whereby they have trespassed
against Me, when they dwelt safely in their land, and none made them afraid.
Eze 39:27 When I have brought them again from the people, and gathered them out of their enemies’
lands, and am sanctified in them in the sight of many nations;
Eze 39:28 Then shall they know that I am the LORD their God, Which caused them to be led into captivity
among the heathen: but I have gathered them unto their own land, and have left none of them any more
there.
Eze 39:29 Neither will I hide My face any more from them: for I have poured out My spirit upon the
house of Israel,” saith the Lord GOD.

Gog and Magog After the Millennium

Rev 20:7 And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison,
Rev 20:8 And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and
Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea.
Rev 20:9 And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about,
and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them.
Rev 20:10 And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the
beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.
Rev 20:11 And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the
heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.
Rev 20:12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and
another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things
which were written in the books, according to their works.
Rev 20:13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead
which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.
Rev 20:14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
Rev 20:15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.
