Q.#1) (12+2x4=20)
The analog signals are shown below.
a.) For each Analog signal write equation of the discrete time signal (X(n) =- - - - - -) in term of n.
b.) Take Fs = 1000 Samples/sec, find out discrete value of Sample nos. 0,35 and 50 for each discrete time signal and write answer in the table-1b
provided in the answer sheet.

I) y(t) = 0.8100t, t ≥ 0 and y(t) = 0, t < 0

sin( 50πt )
II) y (t ) = , t ~= 0 (t is not equal to 0) and y(t) = 1, t = 0 (SINC Function for information only)
50πt
III) y(t) = 5e-t/0.01 , t ≥ 0 and y(t) = 0, t < 0
IV) y(t) = 5 sin(2π.10.t)

Q.#2) (4+4+12)
The discrete time signal, shown in Table-2 is sampled at rate of 100 samples/sec and time period of the signal is 80ms.
Calculate resolution of the discrete time signal shown in the table.
What can be the maximum value of F in the signal, which is sampled at 100 samples/sec?
Fill in the last ‘X(n)’ row of table-2 completely.

Q.#3) (4+4+12)
Table-3 (shown in the attached answer sheet) is frequency spectrum (x(k) vs amplitude). T = 1msec, N=16.
a.) Calculate resolution of the frequency spectrum shown in the table.
b.) What is the maximum value of F in the signal? and what is its amplitude?
c.) Fill in the ‘X(k)’ row completely and ‘F’ row for sample nos,1,5,8 and 14 only.

Q.#4) (20)
Consider the analog signal x(t) = 5 sin (2.π 100 t). If the signal is sampled at the rate Fs=80Hz, we can recover an analog signal of less than Fs/2.Calculate
F of the recovered signal (Signal obtained after sampling).
Q.#5) (12+8=20)
Fill in the table-5 for N = 8.

Required formulae is given below

n= N −1
R e x(k ) = ∑ x(n) cos(2.π kn / N ) ,
n= 0
