Cat

Product Link is a comprehensive remote

monitoring and asset management solution, enabling
powerful tools that transform data from an entire fleet
of equipment into the essential information required to
boost productivity, reduce costs and manage risks.

Product Link PL421 hardware collects GPS
positioning and data reported directly off the asset,
transmitting it off-board through cellular GSM
communication networks. PL421 hardware is deeply
integrated with Cat EMCP 3, EMCP 4 and ADEM
generator set controllers, enabling remote visibility to
advanced health and utilization data, as well as easy
plug and play installation.

Product Links intuitive web-based interface,
VisionLink

, makes it easy to monitor data from your

whole fleet, and then zoom in for a detailed look at
individual assets. Alerts can be configured to
automatically notify those who need to know via e-
mail or SMS text when something occurs that needs
immediate attention. In addition, data from your
equipment can easily be fed to other business
software, allowing you to gather the data once, and
then use it wherever needed in third-party
applications.

EMCP 3, EMCP 4 or ADEM controller including
whether the engine is running or stopped. Also
monitor not ready to run status with an EMCP 4.
Manage diagnostic and event codes reported on
systems with an EMCP 3, EMCP 4 or ADEM
controller in real-time, allowing detection of
problematic health conditions before they cause
component failures.
Utilize advanced engine monitoring available on
systems with an ADEM controller.
Easily configure alerts for automated e-mail and
text messages that notify anyone who needs to
know of important events including:
- Not ready to run status supported by EMCP
4 controllers
- Asset on and off
- Site boundary entry and exit
- Service coming due
- Loss of main battery power
- Health codes supported by EMCP 3, EMCP
4 and ADEM controllers
