• Coordinated a team of four graduate students in developing a business plan suitable for
venture capitalists and an information sharing application named “Special Child”
• The "Special Child" application collectively merges private, public, international and
charitable adoption agencies from around the world by leveraging Web Services through
which the various entities can share data and match children in the systems with pre-
qualified adoptive parents in any country while still maintaining ownership of their data

US National Finals, Cambridge, MA


• This application took 3rd place out of 212 US participants by meeting the United Nations
Millennium Goals of Child Health and Global Partnership
• Used Microsoft tools and technologies to create an application that helped address the real
world problems of adoption involving foster care systems and orphanages
