3.3.1 Monitoring the Cell Status

This section describes how to monitor the cell status and save the result.

Prerequisite

l You have logged in to the M2000 client and it communicates with the related NEs normally.
l You have the permission to run MML commands.

Procedure

Step 1 On the M2000 client, choose Maintenance > MML Command. The MML Command window

Prerequisite

l You have logged in to the M2000 client and it communicates with the related NEs normally.
l You have the permission to query the measurement results of the performance counters.

Context

The measurement counters listed in Table 3-2 should be checked to determine the current
performance status of the cell.

The two counters
measure the
number of
subscribers on the
dedicated

the common
channels
respectively.
If the values of
both counters are
0, you can infer
that there are no
subscribers in the
cell. A fault may

the cell load.

Procedure

Step 1 On the M2000 client, choose Performance > Query Result. The Query Result window is
displayed.

Step 2 Click New Query... in the lower area. The Query Result dialog box is displayed.

Step 3 Perform the following steps:

2. Set parameters on the Object Settings, Counter Settings, and Other Settings tab pages.
3. Click Query. The query result is displayed.

NOTE

The query result can be displayed in three forms: Table, Line chart, and Bar chart. You can specify the
form in the View Type area.

inconsistent, contact the corresponding personnel for troubleshooting.

NOTE
If the measurement result contains a Reliability field, the measurement result is reliable only when the
value of this field is Reliable.

3. Checking the Communication Between NEs and the
M2000
This section describes how to check the communication between NEs and the M2000 in the
M2000 network topology.

Prerequisite

l You have logged in to the M2000 client. The communication between the M2000 client
and the server is normal.
l You have the proper operation authority.

Context

Criterion for the operation: All the NEs communicate with the M2000 normally. If the
communication between a NE and the M2000 is disrupted, there is a red cross on the upper left
of the NE, as shown in Figure 4-3.

Procedure

Step 1 Log in to the M2000, and than choose Topology > Main Topology. The Main Topology tab
page is displayed. Check the status of each NE in the network topology. Check whether the
connections of NEs are normal.
