Clowning 101
Allow your humor and mischief to come out in a positive way with
the art of clowning. Find out about the various types of clowns,
costuming, original face make-up, and movements that bring out
the clown in you. Learn to juggle and what makes people laugh in
this seriously funny class.

Philosophy for Kids
Do you really know what you think you know? Find out in this class
where its not about the answers as much as it is about the ques-
tions. These fun questions will make you wonder about everything,
like what is fair and who gets to decide? What makes something
true and are there times when you should lie? Is it possible to lie to
yourself? Are numbers really real? Who are your real friends? Find
out as you discuss these things and more in this class.

Kids Chemistry
Experiment with acids, bases, and household items to discover the
scientific way of doing things. Work like a scientist does. Find a
question. Research whats known about it. Make a hypothesis. Set
up an experiment. Test your hypothesis. Observe what really
happens. Record it. Share your findings. Then try some more!

Things that Go ZAP!
In this class you can make your own electricity from sun, wind,
food, or pennies. Create an alarm to help keep people out of a
room. Find out what radios, TVs, and computers are do with
electricity. Build a model electric car or boat. Find out what to do,
and what NOT to do with electricity.

Video Game Design
With the principles of both computer programming and art, create
a world around your own story. Then play it with friends. Class
uses various game design platforms including Microsofts Kodu
Game Lab. This class is
not only fun but also
teaches important
programming concepts.

All About China
China has the most people in the world! Learn about the food,
clothing, music, art, looks, and customs of this big country, and
maybe even learn a few Chinese words. The teacher is from China!

Art is Messy
We will do all kinds of art projects you probably cant do at home
because they are too messy. These will include paper-mache, clay,
tempera paint, tissue collage, finger and feet printing, splatter paint-
ing, tie dye, plaster, and other creative media. DRESS for MESS!

Building Toys:
Build games, race tracks, ball runs, puppets and a puppet stage,
air rocket zip lines and more. Use your imagination and make fun
projects that you can take home and play with.

Creative Dramatics
Create and act in your own play from famous childrens stories.
Learn about performing on a stage and the give and take needed
for group creations. Perform your play at the end of the week.

Massive Music
Music is everywhere. Its in water, sand, rice, rubber bands, nails,
bowls, boxes, tubes, pipes, and even trash cans. Discover the
music all around you. Create instruments from everyday objects.
Write your own music and perform it for family and friends. This is
one place where we are proud to be loud!
Entering Grade 1 - 5
Natures Needs
This class provides opportunities for children who like nature to do
hands-on activities and find out about the interdependence of all
life forms. This includes earth formations, plant life, microbes, in-
sects, fish, birds, and mammals. It ends in a project to help nature.

Sign Language
Sign Language is now for everyone. In this course students will be
introduced to both finger spelling and American Sign Language,
providing a human to human method of communication that
includes facial expressions and body language.

Build a Bundle
Make cool contraptions while solving structural engineering chal-
lenges. Answer fun questions like: How do you keep your Jell-O dry
if your lunch box falls in a puddle? How do you get from here to
there in as complicated a way as possible? How many pennies can
an aluminum foil boat hold? How long can a straw bridge be? How
do you keep a ping pong ball at the bottom of the lake? Build them
and find out!

Incredible Edible Science
Good food doesnt happen by magic; its science, with a pinch of
math. Make and eat your way through delicious foods you create
and understand why they did or didnt rise, grow, or taste good.

Underwater Treasure
Team up with explorers from around the world to see sunken treas-
ure and solve ocean puzzles. Meet a new octopus every day.
Follow the undersea robot of the NOAA (National Oceanic and
Atmospheric Assoc.) with live video feeds of the ocean depths. Dis-
cover the world of the deep ocean and its many strange animals
living in places few used to think that nothing could.

Yoga for the Young
Stretch and strengthen your body and mind while learning to be
calm, cool, and collected. If you get wound up and would like to
know how to wind down in a fun way, then this is the class for you.
Use and control your energy in productive ways. You will use your
breathing and your body to improve your ability to focus,
concentrate, stretch, and be healthy. Its a good thing to do right
before test time too.

Emerging Engineers
Students will have fun creating structures from everyday materials
that achieve amazing things. For example, build a chair out of
paper that can hold a 150 lbs. for at least 5 minutes, or create a
structure out of cardboard to protect a raw egg from a 20 foot drop.

Junior Robotics
Build robotic projects from over 30 choices. Some of them are
even solar powered! Once you master these you may be able to
do one completely from scratch. Learn the basics of mechanical
engineering and electricity while having lots of fun!

Just Like Lawyers
Are right and wrong really important to you? Then you might like
this opportunity to defend your side like the professionals. We put
famous characters on trial. Will you be on the defense, the
prosecution, the jury, the court clerk, or the judge? Learn the about
being a lawyer and the legal system. Then put them to use in
storybook based cases.

S-M-Art
This art class uses ideas from Science and Math to make
awesome patterns and designs in origami, tessellations, tangrams,
fractals, crystals, and patterns from nature, It includes the
Fibonacci sequence, spirals, op art, and more. Youll just call it fun!
