MVV requirements
When you are traveling to the Netherlands for a longer period, because you are going to live or work in the
Netherlands and you have received the approval letter from the IND, please contact the Consulate General to
make an appointment: dba-ca@minbuza.nl
As of July 2013 all visa/MVV applications will be assessed and processed by a specialized centre. This means
that, while the visa/MVV application is pending, passports must be handed over to the Consulate of the
Netherlands and cannot be returned until after the visa/MVV process is finalized. Based on the nationality,
the visa processing time will be approximately 10 to 15 days after the visa/MVV interview.
Kindly make sure to bring all the required documents in order to submit and finalise your application on time.
Incomplete applications will be refused.
Applications should be submitted in person and the following documents must be handed in:
Documents to be submitted by all MVV applicants:
MVV application form One fully digitally (typed) completed and signed application form per
applicant. Please mention clearly your daytime phone number, email
address and your full home address in the U.A.E.
Passport or official travel
document
plus a copy of the holder
page of the passport
Valid passport which contains at least two blank visa pages opposite each
other
Issued within the last 10 years
U.A.E. residence permit
plus a copy
This does not apply for GCC-nationals
If you are not resident in the U.A.E., kindly submit a copy of the entry
stamp of the U.A.E.
Passport picture Two passport colour photographs not older than 3 months according to
the Fotomatrix. You can make the pictures in any photo shop with help of
the Fotomatrix. We can recommend a photo shop in Dubai Marina (at the
end of the JBR Walk). This is a Kodak shop called Marina Photo. They are
aware of the correct size and Fotomatrix.
Kindly don't stick any pictures on the application form

If aged 15 or older, the applicant must complete and sign a
declaration of civil status (annexe 1)
If a parent exercising parental responsibility for the child is to
remain behind: a written declaration of consent from this parent
allowing the child to reside with the parent in the Netherlands,
accompanied by a copy of the identity document of the parent
remaining behind
Visa/MVV queries will be only answered by email to: dba-ca@minbuza.nl.
Please be advised that the requirements might change without prior notice. The Visa Section has full authority
to evaluate and request more documents than those submitted by the applicant. The latter is hereby informed
that submitting the above-mentioned documents does not guarantee automatic issuance of a visa.
Travellers must be in possession of original/ copies of all documents submitted in support of their application
when they enter to the Netherlands. The Netherlands Consulate General will not provide copies so please
ensure you have your own copies made before submitting the application.
An issued visa/MVV does not automatically entitle you to enter the Schengen Area. The relevant immigration
authorities take the final decision about your access.
