A Marital Testimony:

I went through similar situation a few years back. Now my husband is saved fill
ed with the Holy Ghost and all our needs are provided for. A prophet told me th
at God would bring my husband back fully circumcised and he was right. When we p
hysically got back together, he was not yet saved, but soon thereafter we went t
o church together (I went where he wanted to go, not where I wanted to go.). It
was a process, but God is faithful. He is saved, filled with the Holy Ghost and
drags me to Church now. I never stopped praying for him and our marriage, no m
atter what it looked like. He kept asked me for a divorce and I refused to sign
the papers. Then one day God told me I was not staying under the authority of
my husband. I should be doing what he wanted. I wailed and moaned. I knew I
had to let him go. So I called him and told him that I was going to sign the di
vorce papers. It was then that he said he no longer wanted the divorce. I had
to come in line and allow god to turn his heart, which he did. The scriptures t
hat helped me were the story of the Prodigals son. My husband was like the Prodi
gals son and he went off to have riotous living. (There was another woman involv
ed). But when the Prodigal Son came home, the Father gladly received him and ce
lebrated. When my husband said he no longer wanted the divorced I celebrated an
d received him in the state he was in. I praised God and I praised him. Then th
ere is a story in Hosea 1 where the subject is Hoseas unfaithful wife. The Lord
told Hosea to go and get the wife of harlotry. He had to forgive here, no matte
r what she had done. It should how God loves us even when we are unfaithful. R
ead the story. (Chapter 1-3) So we must love the unfaithful has well. Even thou
gh the story is about a female, it can relate to a wandering male as well. The
point is to love your spouse no matter what and be ready to forgive. Learn how
to be a virtuous woman (Proverb 3) and learn to submit. Let him lead and when h
e makes a mistake, he that covers a transgression seeks love. Forget the transgre
ssion (the mistake) as you are seeking love. Walk in Love, know that love is p
atient; love is kind, love does not boast, love is not arrogant or rude, love do
es not insist on its own way, love is not resentful, love does not rejoice in wr
ongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, love believes all
things, love hopes all things, love endures all things. Love never fails.
Make sure you are in a bible believing, bible teaching church. Be there as ofte
n as you can. Know that God speaks to you through your Pastor. Listen, take note
s, and do what he tells you to. God desires for you to live in peace.
