Balance Your Preparation for PMT 2015 and Boards

If you havent already started your preparation for PMT 2015, then now is the time to do
it because this is the most crucial period of your academic life. Ideally you have to start
your preparation, the very first day you plan to pursue medical stream. Since both exams
come side by side it is important to balance both and get good score as well.

PMT is the Pre Medical Test for aspirants of MBBS/BDS and some other courses.
Biology constitutes the major part of PMT (50%), hence it is important to concentrate on
biology. Even though biology is probably easier to grasp, it is difficult to remember the
terms, so repeated reading and hard work is essential. Remember there is no substitute for
hard work.

Importantly syllabus for board exams and PMT is the same, while the pattern is the exam
is different. It is more subjective in board exams, while objective in PMT. Board exams
are focused on the knowledge and understanding while entrance exams are focused on
the application and analysis of the particular subject. Hence it is very important to
maintain a healthy balance between subjective and objective type of learning. Syllabus is
same for both the exams, one should cover the NCERT syllabus thoroughly which helps
in laying a strong foundation of concepts. After covering NCERT, for your preparation
for PMT 2015 you can also check other reference books for PMT:-

Time management is important and one should simultaneously plan their time for both. If
you study biology 3 hours in a day- you should spend 2 hours to study the subject
thoroughly and the remaining 1hour practicing the objective questions on the same topic
from different books and other study materials. Even though all the topics are important,
more important ones are classification of plants and animals, genetics, human physiology
etc. It is also important make a note of difficult terms while studying the topics. This
helps you in both board exam and PMT

In conclusion continuous and regular hard work, intelligent time management and
repeated and regular study will help one achieve their goal.
