number in that number, I got 288. If instead
of adding, I had subtracted the number in the
same way, what would I get?
• Let us assume the number is 1, 20added –
1.2, again 20% added: 1.2*1.2
• Now we have got: 1.44
• But we want to subtract it: 1*.8
• Again we want to subtract 20% = .8*.8
• We get .64
• To get our number: 288*.64/1.44 = 128
