ANCIENT CHINA: DYNASTIES OF POWER

Throughout the years China has flourished because of the vast lands that surround their country. They
were also developed and well equipped with knowledge in technology and architecture. They are really
proficient in bronze casting because they are valued more than gold and are offered to the king. Bronze
also symbolizes royal status and great wealth.
Kings were also consumed by greed and ruthlessness. They abuse their power leading to inhumane
murders and exaggerated requests. They were capable of many things because people believed that they
are sent by heaven to rule over them therefore cannot be opposed or they will suffer divine punishment.
They were the leading country in the ancient history when it comes to governance and political power.
There is also a time that they have a feudal system which resulted into the long warring periods that
ensued China. But one ruler has surpassed the previous kings and unified China acquiring the title
emperor. He destroyed all his enemies and abolished the feudal systems.
They are also excellent generals when it comes to war and they are also ruthless tacticians even resulting
to the use of psychological warfare which is effective in solving a stalemate. They also improve their
armies by raising their morale and rewarding them for how many heads theyve acquired in battle which
will determine their status in the military.
They are also knowledgeable in poetry and other forms of literature. There are great amount of scholars
and historians that found new ways in spreading writings and valued knowledge more than anything. But
the rulers feared that if they gain more knowledge his position of power can be overthrown therefore
resulted to them being buried alive and books and writings burned and destroyed.
They are also great builders and have great knowledge in building and construction. One such building is
the Great Wall of China. It is the ultimate symbol that china has been unified under one ruler and its
might for it spans hundreds of miles which protected them from external threat. But it also took a great
toll in building such an extraordinary structure for it claimed a lot of lives, workers building their own
grave. They also built mausoleums for the emperors which are colossal in scale with traps and other
contraptions to expel outsiders. They also built long spans of water ways that made the internal China
flourished and fed its people and their military strength. They engineered all of the networks that helped
them in their farming. They also progressed on the building of sophisticated weaponry which led them to
victory and unmatched military strength. They also began to develop and procure silk and export them to
surrounding countries. They are also great artisans and sculptors. They made the human clay army known
as the terracotta warriors which are then discovered and restored in the present.
Truly China is a country surrounded by marvels and dark past but it doesnt stop them for being a
magnificent country that survives until today.
