The Im°m (prayers be upon him) replied, “They are the true believers – those who acknowledge that which he
brought from All°h, the Grand and Noble and who hold firm onto the two weighty things (Al-Thaqala¢n) which
they were commanded to hold firm onto (both of them) – the book of All°h and his `Itrah, his Ahlul Ba¢t, the ones
whom All°h had removed all impurities from and purified with a thorough purification. And it is these two (the
book of All°h and his `Itrah) which are two the successors (leaders) after the Messenger of All°h (blessings of
All°h be upon him and his family).”

…and all praise belongs to All°h, Lord of the Worlds, only the mistakes are mine. (Tr.)
