Symbiosis Group's Admission Criteria 2014-16

The Symbiosis group of b-schools has changed its admission policy/process this year. The entire
admission process is being handled by Symbiosis International University(SIU). The centralized
admission process would result in students having to attend only one WAT/PI round (for all the B-schools
they applied to) to be conducted on 7th, 8th, 9th, 14th, 15th & 16th February, 2014 at Pune , Bengaluru
and NOIDA. The group exercise round has been eliminated.
The admission process now comprises:
1. Shortlisting for the WAT/PI round.
2. Final selection of candidates
Shortlisting for the WAT/PI round
Candidates will be shortlisted for the (PI-WAT) process based on their performance in the SNAP Test
Score & Academic Profile Score.
Computation of Academic Profile Score

SIU will compute the Academic Profile Score as follows:
AP = (A*1) + (B*1.5) + (C*2.5)
Where A = Score assigned to Std. 10th Marks.
B = Score assigned to Std. 12th Marks.
C = Score assigned to Graduation Marks.

The above score will be converted to a percentile, and the respective institutes will communicate the cut-
off score to the University. The University will announce shortlisted candidates for the respective
program(s) of the institutes on 16th January 2014.

Each candidate will be sent an email indicating the institutes he/she has been shortlisted for, for the
Personal Interaction and Writing Ability Test (PI-WAT)

Final selection of candidates
The WAT/PI round includes:
1. Written ability round
a) Writing skills - 10 marks
b) Creativity and critical thinking - 10 marks
The total secured ( out of 10 + 10 = 20 marks ) will be scaled down to 15 marks.
2. Personal Interaction - The performance of a candidate will be evaluated out of 35 marks.
