1. The Government of India has received a Loan (Loan 7792-IN) from the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development in various currencies towards the cost of Andhra Pradesh Road Sector Project and it is intended that part of the proceeds of this loan will be applied to eligible payments under the contracts for which this Invitation for Bids is issued.
2. The Chief Engineer (R&B) CRN & Managing Director, APRDC now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for supply of the Goods listed below:

3. Bidding will be conducted through the National Competitive Bidding (NCB) procedures agreed with World Bank. The provisions in the Instructions to Bidders and in the General Conditions of contract are based on the provisions of the World Bank Standard Bidding Document - Procurement of Goods.
4. Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information from and inspect the bidding documents at the office of the Chief Engineer (R&B) CRN & Managing Director, APRDC, 5 th floor, R&B Complex, Mahaveer Marg, A.C. Guards, Hyderabad-500 004, Andhra Pradesh, India.
5. A complete set of bidding documents may be purchased by any interested eligible bidder on the submission of a written application to the above office and upon payment of a non- refundable fee as indicated below in the form of a Demand Draft in favour of PAO, (W&P) Hyderabad, payable at Hyderabad.
6. The bidding document may be obtained from the office of the Chief Engineer (R&B) CRN & Managing Director, APRDC, 5 th floor, R&B Complex, Mahaveer Marg, A.C. Guards, Hyderabad-500 004, Andhra Pradesh, India during office hours from 1030 hrs to 1700 hrs, on all working days either in person or by post. The Chief Engineer (R&B) CRN & Managing Director, APRDC, will not be held responsible for the postal delay, if any, in the delivery of documents or non-receipt of the same.

7. A pre-bid meeting will be held on 08.08.2013 at 11.30 A.M. at the venue: Office of Andhra Pradesh Road Development Corporation (APRDC), 5 tth Floor, R&B Complex, Mahaveer Marg, AC Guards, Hyderabad to clarify the issues and to answer questions on any matter that may be raised at that stage as stated in Clause 7.1 of Instructions to Bidders of the Bidding document.
8. All bids must be accompanied by a bid security as specified in the bid document and must be delivered to the above office at the date and time indicated above. Electronic bidding will not be permitted. Late bids will be rejected.
9. Bids will be opened in the presence of Bidders' representatives who choose to attend on the specified date and time. 10. In the event of the date specified for bid receipt and opening being declared as a closed holiday for purchasers office, the due date for submission of bids and opening of bids will be the following working day at the appointed times.
