This research is about testing the effectivity of Moringa
Oleifera and Cymbopogon plants if it can be a perfect tandem of
ingredients for ointment that can be widely used against wounds,
pains and discomforts. Also, this research is testing if there
are any differences between the M. Oleifera and Cymbopogon
leaves extracts as an alternative ointment to the commercial
ointments.
The Expectation of the researcher is that the M. Oleifera
and Cymbopogon leaves extracts can yield and be a possible
alternative ointment for various wounds, pains and discomforts.

Statement of the Problem
1. Is there any significant effect of Malunggay and Lemon
Grass leaves extract as an alternative source of
ointment?

Grass leaves extract as an alternative source of ointment
compared to commercial one?

Statement of the Hypothesis
Alternative Hypothesis
Ha1: There is significant effect of Malunggay and Lemon Grass
leaves extract as an alternative ointment.
Ha2: There is significant effect of Malunggay and Lemon Grass
leaves extract as an alternative ointment compared to the
commercial one.
Null Hypothesis
Ho1: There is no significant effect of Malunggay and Lemon Grass
leaves extract as an alternative ointment.
Ho2: There is no significant effect of Malunggay and Lemon Grass
leaves extract as an alternative ointment compared to the
commercial one.
Significance of the Study
This research will test the effectiveness of M. Oleifera
and Cymbopogon leaves extract if it can be an alternative
ointment against wounds, pains and discomforts. Also, this
research will test if there are any difference between the
effectiveness of Malunggay and Lemongrass leaves extract as an
alternative ointment compared to the commercial ones. The result
of this research will make the plants be known of its abilities
to yield ointments.

Scope and Limitation
The research focuses on the ability of the Malunggay
(Moringa Oleifera Lam) and Lemon Grass (Cymbopogon) as an
alternative ointment. This research is limited only to examine
if there is a significant difference between the ointment from
M. Oleifera and Cymbopogon leaves extract to the commercial one
and if the said plants can yield an ointment. This research is
only limited to the use of Malunggay and Lemon Grass leaves
extract as an alternative ointment. The researcher conducted the
study last May 23, 2014 at Gusa Regional Science High School.
