We envision

• A Philippine media culture that contributes to a more humane society, with Christian values,
wisdom and other religious and non-religious convictions.
• A network of communication personnel collaborating and sharing resources to influence the
media environment through training, development, research, production and other initiatives;
• A fellowship among media practitioners and communication workers growing together
professionally, directed by this conviction – to build a more humane society.
We commit to the mission of

• Researching the current state of media in the Philippines and the needs of the media practitioners
• Organizing a network of media practitioners in the Philippines and linking up with existing
international Catholic and other media networks
• Organizing retreats, recollections, forums, seminars, and workshops for media practitioners on issues,
topics and areas determined with the help of Needs Assessment tools
• Providing our organization’s space, publications and other services to secular media according to
policies of our agencies and organization.

What we see as gaps in the Philippine Media environment

• Lack of broader involvement among media and communication practitioners in community building
• Need pf training/orientation deepening among media practitioners in church-based and secular media
organizations
• Lack of meaningful fellowship among practitioners
• Access to responsible sources of information, especially Church formation
• Hunger for local coverage of news an issues
• Need for an enhanced marketing of media services and products.

What we are addressing

• Professional development of people in media and communications in terms of deepening their

commitment and enhancing their skills
• Meaningful fellowship among media practitioners and communication personnel.
