First and foremost we wish to express our most sincere appreciation to our
lecturer for his dedicated in valuable guidence and patience in helping us to
complete this task. All his tought at class really help us to understand about the
topic.
Secondly, I would like to thank my course mates who had shared their notes
with me. They gave me some useful notes about this coursework and strategies in
the given problems.
Besides that, I also want thank my parents via this opportunity. Even though
they are not with me here while the coursework been done, they also gave and
support me financially and mentally.
At last, I would like to thank everyone who had help and guiding me to

First of all from this coursework im able to know about noun, determiner,
pronoun, adjective and adverb. Noun is word used to name a person, animal, place,
things or abstract idea. A determiner is a noun-modifier that expresses the reference
of a noun or noun-phrase in the context, rather than attributes expressed
by adjectives.
Besides that, a pronoun can replace a noun or another pronoun. You use
pronouns like "he," "which," "none," and "you" to make your sentences less
cumbersome and less repetitive. Grammarians classify pronouns into several types,
including the personal pronoun, the demonstrative pronoun, the interrogative
pronoun, the indefinite pronoun, the relative pronoun, the reflexive pronoun, and the
intensive pronoun. An adjective modifies a noun or a pronoun by describing,
identifying, or quantifying words. An adjective usually precedes the noun or the
pronoun which it modifies. An adjective also can be modified by an adverb, or by
a phrase or clausefunctioning as an adverb.
An adverb can modify a verb, an adjective, another adverb, a phrase, or
a clause. An adverb indicates manner, time, place, cause, or degree and answers
questions such as "how," "when," "where," "how much". While some adverbs can be
identified by their characteristic "ly" suffix, most of them must be identified by
untangling the grammatical relationships within the sentence or clause as a whole.
Unlike an adjective, an adverb can be found in various places within the sentence.
Besides that, question 3 also let me to know about the way to write
descripetive essays. Im get to know that writing a descriptive essay can be a rich
and rewarding experience, but it can also feel a bit complicated. It's helpful,
therefore, to keep a quick checklist of the essential questions to keep in mind as
you plan, draft, and revise your essay.






Advantages and disvantages of eating a fast food
Fast food industry nowadays has greatly developed in many countries
worldwide. Swift pace of life and hectic schedule change people's habits of eating.
The great need of fast food leads to the quick rise of many fastfood restaurants all
over the world. Some advantages of eating fast food.
In my point of view, the first and foremost benefit fast food brings to
customers is time and speed saving. Modern society with piles of work pushes
people to be busy at any time, especially businessmen and officials. Even students
are also up to ears with exercises and examination.
Fast food, therefore, becomes a popular choice of many people. By coming to
restaurants, which sell fastfood, the customers are quickly served; they can save a
lot of time to do other things instead of cooking at home or waiting for the meal to be
cooked at restaurant.
In addition, cooking at home, means you need to buy food in the super
market, clean vegetables, prepare things ready to be cooked, after meal; you need
time to wash the dishes. This process takes really much time and energy if you are a
busy with work and need to relax. In short, Modern society with piles of work pushes
people to be busy at any time.
Besides, meal price is also an advantage of fast food with the ones who live
alone. It is often cheaper to have a meal when you stay alone, let alone some extra

offers on special events. You can save an amount of money when there is no gas
fee to cook, transportation fee to buy food. In addition, fries and burgers from
restaurant are often cheaper as restaurant cooks buy then in bulk.
Some disadvantages of fastfood . Eating fastfood too often can badly affect
can affect your own health. It is necessary to have fastfood in moderation as fat, salt
and calories are rich in meal ingredient. Obesity in children and diseases caused by
too much fat in adult's body can be stemmed from fastfood eating routine.
The quick development of fast food is breaking much family's mealtime. More
and more teenagers and young people are engrossed in having fast food with friends
and their peers. Mealtime is considered a family meeting time, all members take
turns to talk about their activities and feelings during the day, and therefore mealtime
is important under one roof.

Malaysia is a popular place for people to leave. It is a very beautiful place.
Malaysia is a multiracial country. It is also a unique country because of its diversity of
races, religions and cultures, the stability of the country and many places of
interests.
Diversity of races, religions and cultures is a significant characteristic of our
nation. Malaysia is a multiracial country with a rich cultural heritage. Unique to
Malaysia is the 'Open House' concept where during the various cultural and religious
festival like Hari Raya, Chinese New Year, Deepavali, Gawai Day and others, friends
and families and even strangers would visit the homes of those who are celebrating
the festival, to wish them well and enjoy. Although the visitors may be from different
races, they still can tolerate with each other and live under the same roof where they
celebrate the festival together.
On top of that, there are many places of interests in country such as beaches,
islands and rain forest. Malaysia's rain forest is considered as the oldest in the world.
The diverse species of animals and plant life continue to excite a great deal of
scientific research. Besides that, there are many islands in our country such as
Pulau Langkawi, Pulau Redang, Pulau Ketam and many others. Pulau Langkawi has
a lot of historitical informations. The accommodation is well-established and that
makes those islands ideal places to visit.
Following this, there are also international achievements of our country. KLIA
is unique because it has all that is needed for business, entertainment and relaxation
within its boundaries. The airport is part and parcel of the Multimedia Super Corridor
where high technology industries are being actively developed. Nevertheless, there
is a Formula One Race Track near the airport, so foreign car racing enthusiasts from
all over the world can come for a visit to gather here. Besides that, Petronas Twin
Towers which is a building the tallest building in Asia and a national pride to the
people of Malaysia.
In short, Malaysia is unique that it has diversity of races, religions and
cultures, a stable and peaceful environment, places of interest and some internal
achievements. Those are important characteristic of our nation. It is rich of cultural
heritage it would be worth to play a visit here.




I have been given a short coursework on 29 MAC 2011 and have to submit it
before 12 Mac 2011. I hope i will get strength to complete this task and I have make
serious efforts to submit the task before the due date. Firstly I have to choose an
authentic text from magazines, newspapers and brochures.
Then I have to find out nouns, determiner, pronoun, adjective and adverb form
the text I have choosen. After that I have to find out another five word and construct
a new sentence for each word that I have select to reflect a new word class without
changing the original form of the word.The last question is to select a title for a
descriptive essay and brainstorm the main points. After that i also need to write a
descriptive essay and at last i need to highlights the topic sentence and the
concluding sentence in my writting.
This task also teaches me that we have learn many things about grammar. All
the knowledge I have earned from this coursework is awesome and it will help for my
future as a teacher. This also help me to increase my knowledge in English language
because I have to write essay by my own. So that I refer to many sourses such as
internet and books and it helps me to improve my knowledge.
In conclusion, I gained a lot of information and knowledge through this
coursework. Hardworking, responsibility, and collaboratory are very important in
doing the group work. The solution would not easily come to us if we did not try
harder to find it. Last but not least, I would like to thanks to my lecturer, En.
Muralitharaan A/L Ammasi for his kindness and always there whenever I need her
guide while doing this assignment.
