Instructions for KPI5
This year our KPI5 is to collect data from 5 students from each class involved in the TELL2 programme.
The data comes from the bands the students have been given by the teacher when he/she has done in School Based Assessment.
You will see from the 'Sample' sheet that cluster, school, teacher and student names are necessary. They will be replaced with numbers before being submitted to the MOE.
Why?
KPI5 this year is to show improvement in the students' ability. We need to do this to fulfill our contract with the MOE.
Who
You need 15 Level 1 teachers in the TELL2 program. (If you only have 12 teachers, then do 12.)
You must collect data from every Level 1 (Year 1,2,3) class that the 15 teachers are teaching.
You must have 5 students from each class. The first 5 students from the register (but there must be a mix of boys and girls)
E.g. If each teacher has 3 classes, you will have data from 225 students.
15X3=45. (15 teachers have 3 classes each)
45X5=225. (Each class you need 5 students)
If the boys names are written first in the register, in one school take the first 3 boys, first 2 girls and the next school the first 3 girls and first 2 boys etc.
What?
We need their latest School Based Assessment band scores. The bands are in the new PPPM document. Available on WFM: VAT; Training; PPPM documents )
We need 3 scores:
Listening and Speaking (Lisen)
Reading (Baca or Membaca)
Writing (Tunis or Menulis)
How?
Ask the MTP for the selected students' bands.
If they have no band, show the teacher the PPPM sheet and ask them to assess which band that students is.
Enter the bands on the KPI5 Excel spreadsheet. (To be cut and paste later)
When?
By June 27th
When people save their Excel sheet, they should use the format:
Clustername_SubCluster_Initials
So, if Sam Richards is running a sub-cluster called SK Sikamat in the Seremban cluster.
