Fasting is not the absence of food but the presence of God in our life.
Why Fast and Pray?
1. God expects us to fast (Mt. 6:16-17) When you fast It did not say If you fast.
2. Jesus fasted. (Mt. 4:2)
3. The early church fasted (Acts 13:3)
4. Fasting makes us sensitive to the leading of the Holy Spirit (Lk. 4:1-2)
5. Fasting brings about personal and national spiritual revival (2 Chro. 7:14)
6. Fasting promotes intimacy with God.

Fasting is feasting in the sense that we could be brought back to the simplicity of life

What kind of year 2014 do you perceived? What kind of year 2014 do you want?
We should thing 2014 as another 2014 to serve the Lord; to accomplish His purpose.

Fasting confirms our utter dependence upon God by finding in Him a source of sustenance beyond food.

SUGGESTION:
Fast from discontent; feast on thankfulness.
Fast from worry; feast on trust.
Fast from anger; feast on patience.
Fast from self concern; feast on compassion for others.
Fast from unrelenting pressures; feast on unceasing prayers.
Fast from bitterness; feast on forgiveness.
Fast from discouragement; feast on hope.
Fast from media hype, feast on the honesty of the Bible
Fast from problems that overwhelm; feast on prayer that undergirds.

Keep on Praying
God cares for you more than you care for yourself.
Woman and judge in the Bible.
Kamusta ang prayer life mo? How much time do you spend praying? Reading your Bible?

If you truly believe in God, I doubt if you not pray.
Do you believe that God knows what will happen to you 5 days from now? 10 days from now? 1 month
from now? If yes, the more you should pray so that you could discuss.

Watch and pray so that you may now fall into temptation.

Gusto mong hindi magulat? PRAY. PRAYPARATION!
v. 34-36 But keep on the alert at all times, praying that you may have strength

Make a resolution to pray. I resolve to pray.
