Press the ( PTA ) Pure Tone Audiometry.
Instruct the patient:
1. HEADPHONES (Air Conduction)
Red Right
Blue - Left
2. PATIENTS RESPONSE ( Joystick)
3. Bone Conduction (if NECESSARY)



PURE TONE AUDIOMETRY (PTA):
Start with RIGHT Ear

1. Start with 0.25 kHz & 40 dB. Using the arrows LEFT and Right
then UP and DOWN, You can adjust the level of the Kilohertz
(kHz) and Decibels (dB).
2. Once ready, advise the patient that you will now start the test.
3. Press the SPEAKER ICON (just below the DOWN arrow), just
enough for the patient to hear the beep/tone.
4. Focus on the RESPONSE ICON (found above the UP arrow), if it
turns GREEN (the patient responded to the tone), move
one level by pressing the UP ARROW until the patient couldnt
hear a tone or no response to tone, then PLOT on the level
with no response. The move to the next level with the RIGHT
ARROW and move downwards using the DOWN ARROW to
30dB - 40dB level. Then repeat the whole process until you
reach the level 8k.
5. To save the results/measurement, press the HOME Button,
a dialog box will appear, then press YES.
6. You will go back to the TESTS SCREEN.









To test the LEFT Ear
1. Press the ( PTA ) Pure Tone Audiometry.
2. Change the setting by pressing the EAR Icon, to
change the color of the icon from RED to BLUE












3. Start with 0.25 kHz & 40 dB. Using the arrows LEFT and
Right then UP and DOWN.
4. Once ready, press the SPEAKER ICON (just below the
DOWN arrow), just enough for the patient to hear the
beep/tone.
5. Focus on the RESPONSE ICON (found above the UP
arrow), if it turns GREEN (the patient responded to
the tone), move one level by pressing the UP ARROW
until the patient couldnt hear a tone or no response to
tone, then PLOT on the level with no response. The
move to the next level with the RIGHT ARROW and
move downwards using the DOWN ARROW to 30dB -
40dB level. Then repeat the whole process until you
reach the level 8k.
6. To save the results/measurements, press the HOME
Button, a dialog box will appear, then press YES.













TO REVIEW THE PATIENTS RESULTS/MEASUREMENTS
(For Plotting)

1. On the TESTS SCREEN, press the BOOK ICON, found at the
lower part of the screen, second icon.



































2. Youll be able to see the recorded test results/measurements
of patients audiology report.














3. Press on the options to preview the results/measurements.





HOW TO PLOT THE RESULTS/MEASUREMENT
Plot the results/measurements based on the AUDIOLOGY
REPORT FORM.
Just simply copy the results/measurements on the
AUDIOLOGY FORM, use:
o RED Pen for RIGHT EAR Result
o BLUE Pen for LEFT EAR result
Use : symbol for the result of RIGHT EAR
symbol for the result of LEFT EAR

AUDIOGRAM ANALYSIS
o 20 - NORMAL LEVEL
o 21 29 may be considered as Normal but it depends on the
average results of 500k, 1k & 2k.
o To compute the average result of the audiogram:
o ADD the results of:
0.5 kHz (500 kHz)
1k
2k
o Then DIVIDE the total SUM with three (3).
EXAMPLE:
Right Ear: 15 +15 + 10 = 40 / 3 = 13.3
Average result: 13
Left Ear: 20 + 20 + 20 = 60 / 3 = 20
Average result: 20

If the result is more than 30 (< 30) suggest for referral to an
ENT.

In case there is a SUDDEN DROP at the level of 4k & 8k, But with
Normal Average Result, if you were been asked by the
physician about it, it is better to advise the physician to refer the
client for an ENT Consultation, for further evaluation.
Sudden drop at 4K and 8K means the client has been exposed to
loud noise or sound. Further ENT Evaluation is recommended.

IN CONDUCTING BONE CONDUCTION TEST (BC)
On the TESTS SCREEN, press PTA.






























Press the Third Icon (Middle Icon) and change the icon
into a look like LOCK ICON.


















Then press on the SETTINGS ICON, next to the LOCK ICON.
Change the settings of the TRANSDUCER, by choosing the
second icon, the smiley face with an arrow down.














o When done press ( ) SIGN.

The process of the Bone Conduction (BC) Test is just the
same as the Air Conduction (AC) Test.




































PLOTTING THE BONE CONDUCTION RESULTS
Plot the results/measurements based on the AUDIOLOGY

AUDIOLOGY FORM, use:
o RED Pen for RIGHT EAR Result
o BLUE Pen for LEFT EAR result
