INTRO SPIELS

Welcome to DLSU-Dasmarinas, home of the patriots and Cavites premiere university! Most of the facilities and
infrastructures we have were named after historic personalities, places and towns in the province of Cavite. This can be
observed in the structural and interior designs of the buildings.

As we proceed with the tour, we will make you familiar not only with the campus map of DLSU-D. Aside from the names
of each of the buildings or facilities, we will also do our best to provide you a bit of Cavites history.
Occupying a sprawling 27-hectare campus in Dasmarias, Cavite, the university is located about 30 kilometers south of
Manila via the Manila-Cavite Coastal Road and the Emilio Aguinaldo Highway.
The buildings on campus are located within two geographical areas--the East campus and the West Campus.
A-1 Magpuri Gate (gate 2) the name given by the Katipuneros to the town of Perez Dasmarias. This serves as the
car entrance.

A-2 Magadalo Gate (gate 1) - named after the Katipunan faction led by Emilio Aguinaldo, it serves as an entry-exit
point for students, faculty, staff, and visitors.

A-4 Porteria de San Benildo named in honor of La Salle Brother Benildo. Located near Magpuri Gate, houses the
Student Welfare and Formation Office (SW&FO), LEDC, Faculty Cooperative Office and numerous
photocopying centers.

A-5 Parking Lot

A-6 St. La Salle Marker/Rotunda the statue of the founder of the Brothers of Christian School, St.John Baptist De
La Salle.

B-1 ICT Building once finished, it will be the center for information and communication.

B-2 Campus Gourmet - an igloo like structure which serves as laboratory and lecture room for HRM students.

B-3 College of Tourism and Hospitality Management Laboratory
B-4 Hotel de Oriente named after the first hotel in the Philippines where according to history Jose Rizal, our
national hero, stayed in 1892. The place where it is built is the same place where the Olivia Salamanca Hall (OSH)
and Emiliano Riego de Dios Hall were located.
B-6 Mariano Alvarez Hall (MAH) named in honor of a Caviteo hero who was the elected president of the
Magdiwang in 1896. It houses the Information Technology Center and computer laboratories. It served as the
former building for the College of Education.
B-7 Satellite Dish
C-1 Julian Felipe Hall (JFH) - named after the composer of the Lupang Hinirang, it is the College of Liberal Arts
building. It houses classrooms and laboratories for Communication, Broadcast Journalism, Psychology, and
Speech students. It also houses the Tanghalang Julian Felipe (theater) and the Bulwagang Jose Basa
(parliamentary hall).
C-2 Paulo Campos Hall (PCH) - named after DLSU-D's founder, it houses the College of Science. It has biology,
physics, chemistry, and mathematics laboratories.
C-3 Ayuntamiento once finished, it shall be the administration building.
C-4 Small Business Center houses the university bookstore on the ground floor and the Lasallian Community
Development Center (the social action center of the university) on the second floor. Currently the canteen is being
constructed on the side.

C-7 COS Building a newly constructed building for the classroom of COS students
C-8 Transportation Building located near the Magtagumpay gate for the garage of school transportation
D-1 Frog pool/Botanical Garden - serves as a research center for Biology students, as well as recreation for the
DLSU-D community.
D-2 Hotel Rafael named after Br. Rafael Donato. This serves as practicum area for HRM students.
D-3 Study Shed (Kubo)
D-4 Pump Station
E-1 Aklatang Emilio Aguinaldo - DLSU-D's library. It houses collections of books, periodicals, theses, and other
reference materials. It was modeled from Aguinaldo's residential house at Kawit, Cavite.
E-2 La Residencia De La Salle the place where the Lasallian Brothers stay. Presently, 5 brothers are housing there:
Br. Gus, Br. Ceci, Br. Kenneth, Br. Mario and Br. Dennis
E-3 University Chapel (Antonio and Victoria Cojuangco Memorial Chapel of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary) -
modeled after the parish church at Maragondon, Cavite, it was dedicated to the martyrs who were killed during
World War II when they took refuge at the DLSU-Manila campus during Liberation. Houses the Campus Ministry
Office and University Lasallian Family Office.
E-4 Museum Warehouse (Camarin)
E-5 Museo De La Salle - a lifestyle museum dedicated to the preservation of certain aspects and material culture of
the 19th century Philippine ilustrado lifestyle. The museum building draws inspiration from the 19th century
bahay na bato (house of stone), a two-storey building with stone, brick and mortar structure at the ground level,
and usually a wood one at the second level. Much of the collections inside the museum were donated by DLSU
President Emeritus Br. Andrew Gonzalez FSC.
E-6 Botanical Garden Entrance
F-1 Alumni Building (Severino Delas Alas Hall) - a function building that also serves as the office of the De La Salle
Alumni Association (DLSU-D Chapter). Houses two conference rooms, a multi-purpose function hall, and a 400-
seater auditorium.

G-1 Square Canteen - an al fresco food court, where most of the members of the DLSU-D community gather to eat.

H Condominiums it consists of six dormitories (A-F) for male students.
I-1 Dormitories - the new dormitory building and three (3) common dormitories and the Polca dormitory are for the
female students. Dormitories A and D have ten rooms each; B and C have eight; E has six while F has 11. The
POLCA Dormitory, also located in the area, has ten studio-type rooms.

K-1 Ladislao Diwa Hall (LDH) - named after Ladislao Diwa, a hero of Biyak-na-Bato. He initiated the founding of
Katipunan together with Andres Bonifacio and Teodoro Plata. This building holds the Materials Reproduction
Office, COE Student Council Office, COE Guidance and Counseling Office, COE consultation room and
classrooms for COE students.
K-2 Felipe Calderon Hall (FCH) named after Felipe Calderon, one of the authors of the Malolos Constitution which
was approved and promulgated by Gen. Emilio Aguinaldo in 1899. This building is currently used by the College
of Education and the College of Law Enforcement and Public Safety.
K-3 Vito Belarmino Hall (VBH) named after Vito Belarmino, one of the most brilliant major-generals of the
revolutionary army. This building serves as a regular classroom mostly for business administration students.
K-4 Study Shed

L-4 Study Shed located at the basement/back portion of the CBA-GSB Building
M-1 Gregoria Montoya Hall - named after Gregoria Montoya, a heroine during the Revolution, specifically in the
Battle of Calero where she led a 30-man Magdalo unit. At present, this building is more known as the
Administration building. It houses most of the administrators' offices. The Registrar's, the Accounting, the
Purchasing, and Compliance offices are based here. In addition, the Institutional Communications Office,
Guidance, Guidance Counseling Office, Office of Student Services, and most student organizations hold office in
this building, namely: the University Student Council, the Heraldo Filipino (official student publication), the
Council of Student Organizations, and the Performing Arts Group.
M-2 College of Engineering, Architecture and Technology Building - It was formerly named the College of
Engineering and Technology Building (CET), it is a newly-built building, which replaced the Don Placido Campos
Hall (DPH). It is considered one of the most modern buildings in DLSU-D. It serves as the primary building for
Engineering, Architecture and Technology students. It was finished in 2004, after the CET vacated its former
building, the Mariano Trias Hall. Laboratories, function halls, offices, and classrooms are situated here. However,
the building was advice to vacate for retrofitting. New CEAT bldg. was temporarily place in the east front of the
Admin. Bldg.
M-3 CBAA/GSB Building - houses classrooms, laboratories, function rooms, and offices. It serves as the primary
building of the College of Business Administration.
M-4 Mariano Trias Hall named after General Mariano Trias y Closas, one of the leading patriots and defenders of
Cavite against the Spanish oppression. This was formerly known as the CET building but is now being occupied
by the College of Business Administration, specifically the Management department. Some of its units currently
houses the Building and Grounds Department and Physical Facilities office. Some are also being utilized as
classrooms for students.
M-5 Candido Tirona Hall named after Candido Mata Tirona, a revolutionary general, secretary of war in Magdalo
Council, and hero of the Battle of Binakayan. It is currently a classroom building.
M-6 Open Court/Parking Space
M-7 Santiago Alvarez Hall named after Santiago Alvarez, a revolutionary general and a founder and honorary
president of the first directorate of the Nacionalista Party. He was also known as Kidlat ng Apoy because of his
inflamed bravery and dedication as commander of Cavite's famous battles like the Battle of Dalahican. This
building houses the Warehouse and Property Offices of the university.

O-2 Grandstand/Bleachers - serves as seating for spectators. Also houses classrooms, computer laboratories, Linen
Department, ROTC and CWTS offices.

Q-1 Ugnayang La Salle - formerly the Palaruang La Salle (meaning "The Playplace of La Salle"), it is the sports
complex. It houses a three-court stadium, table tennis room, dance room, gym, storage room, and a
stage/backstage. This facility can be used for non-sports activities as well. Adjacent to ULS is an Olympic-sized
pool.

S-1 Retreat and Conference Center once constructed, it will serve a venue for all retreat activities of the students.

S-3 Bahay Pag-asa Pavillon - It aims to administer a holistic formation program for children in conflict with the law,
provide competent and committed legal assistance, and implement a post-release program.
T-1 Magdiwang Gate - Magdiwang Gate (gate 3) - named after Andres Bonifacio's faction of the Katipunan, it
serves as an auxiliary entry for both pedestrians and motorists.
T-2 Bridge
Centennial Hall was built in commemoration of 100 years of DLSU in the Philippines. The chandelier in the
centennial hall is a gift of love from Cotie Donato Pantaleon in memory of Brother Rafael Donato, FSC.
