Strong, long-lasting, easy on resources
the new OBO Green Products
OBO acts sustainably. The evidence
for which is its new Green Products
range. Now, its tough, user-oriented
VBS products, such as Quick clips
and junction boxes, are also avail-
able made from renewable materi-
als, which eliminates the use of fossil
gas and oil-based substances.
This means OBO is complying with
todays need for building installa-
tions to be more environmentally
compatible. The new Green Prod-
ucts utilise groundbreaking synthe-
tic substances that are based on
renewable materials such as cellu-
lose (which is derived from wood)
and bio-polyamide. The properties of
the products remain unchanged: the
new material is just as easy to work
with as the conventional plastic used
in other similar products.
It also lasts just as long. Which is
hardly surprising, since all of the
products which OBO manufactures
using renewable resources comply
with national and international stand-
ards.

Switching the VBS product port-
folio over to bio-plastic saves no
less than 3.6 million tons of oil, 2.7
million tons of gas and more than
900,000 tons of coal annually.
That is enough energy to drive a
7-litre vehicle around the world
3,141 times, or to heat 9,218 two-
person households for an entire
year.
The amount of fossil fuel saved by
using renewable materials can be
documented and certied by our
experts if required.
