Rajesh started his business as a Vegetable Vendor when he
was just 8 years old. He is basically from UP and now settled in
New delhi as a successful businessman in vegetables.

Question 1: From where you get your vegetables?
Answer: Azadpur Sabzi Mandi
Question 2: At what time you usually go there to get the
vegetables?
Answer: Early morning around 5 am.
Queation 3: Why Morning only?
Answer: Best time to get the fresh and good quality vegetables.
Question 4: Why Azadpur Sabzi Mandi only?
Answer: Huge market for vegetables . I can have lots of variety
and rate variation are there and I can have the best deal.
Question5: How do you manage to bring the vegetables from
azadpur sabzi mandi?
Answer: I have one tempo which I uses to bring the vegetables
from the mandi.
Question6: Are you the only owner or partnership basis?
Answer: Only owner and staff of 4 persons now ( from past one
year only )
Question7: On an average daily basis sales?
Answer: Around Rs.12000 per day.
Question8: Who is your target customers?
Answer: Working ladies and housewives.
Question9: What strategies you follow to get such high sales for
one day?
Answer:
1. Maintaining high quality of vegetables.
2. We take orders on phone basically and provide free home
delivery for both the targeted customers.
3. Try not to exceed the given time for delivery.
4. Give complimentary stuff like coriander, chillies etc.
5. Good attitude towards customers.

Queation10: When the price for vegetables goes up what is
your strategies?

Answer: Usually, at such time customer seeks to get the less
price on vegetables then market so for such periods we keep
our profit margins low so as to hold the customers back.

Question11: When do you manage to regain your lost profits?
Answer: When prices goes down we keep our profits margins
high then only.

Question12: Is there any problem regarding on point?
Answer: As such we dont face any problem because we get
fresh vegetables everyday from the mandi so that there is no
need to maintain inventory.
Question 13: Why so?
Answer: Because maintenance cost is high for inventory and
above all getting fresh vegetables everyday leads to higher
sales and ultimately good profits.
