Dear Chancellor,
It is my hope that this letter finds you well. My name is Kati Regan, head of the People & Culture
Department at Off.Grid.Electric. Off.Grid.Electric is a solar company that provides light to rural
communities in Tanzania. Our vision is to have the majority of the population in Tanzania
access light and electricity in their households. We are one of the fastest growing companies in
Tanzania.
I am writing to invite your students to apply to a six week academy training program scheduled
to start September 1st of this year. This academy will train participants on business skills,
leadership and technology. The academy will run from Monday to Friday each week for a full
day with breakfast and lunch included. Participants will also have access to computers and
phones during the academy.
Upon successful completion of the academy we will select the top students in the program for
full time jobs at Off.Grid.Electric in the following roles:
1. Customer care leads : responsible for managing a team of customer care
representatives who provide support to our 25,000 customers
2. Agent success coordinators: responsible for managing a team of agent success officers
who are involved in general sales of our products throughout Tanzania
3. Distribution coordinators: responsible for leading a team of logistics officers who take our
products to designated customer areas.
4. Leadership: in different departments
Requirements necessary for enrollment into the academy.
1. Candidate must be available during the selection process in mid August
2. Candidate must be fully available during and after the six weeks of the academy
(September 1st and beyond)
3. Candidate must have completed a bachelors degree or higher by September 1st
4. A Masters degree and/or 2+ years work experience that includes supervising staff
The selection process for acceptance into the academy will be very competitive and will include
