Student Band Contract

We were made to worship God. First and foremost, music is one of the most important
tools that facilitates worship and brings us closer to God. It is an essential ingredient
that is often treated as a luxury. Finally, when done skillfully, our Creator is honored.

Sing joyfully to the Lord, you righteous; it is fitting for the upright to praise him.
Praise the Lord with the harp; make music to him on the ten-stringed lyre.
Sing to him a new song; play skillfully and shout for joy. Ps 33:1-3

improve and perform at a high standard. Because of the team environment students
showing a lack of achievement can hold back the entire class. If a students performance
does not improve, he/she may be dismissed from advanced band and assigned to
another band or music class.

I, ________________________________, accept all the responsibilities outlined above and I
understand the success of the band is determined by my carrying out the duties outlined above
to the best of my abilities. I also understand that dismissal from the advanced band can occur
when I do not meet my obligations.
