There are other things happening other then Peroutka
Peroutka is a moron, but he won the primary for both county council and central committee.
He clearly represents enough of the republican primary voters to remain in the race and on
the committee, even if he is a member of a racist hate group.
The Peroutka thing is a Democratic ploy to create a distraction and it worked.
Peroutka and his ilk have been trying unsuccessfully to obtain public office. He won't drop
out or resign from anything. In his twisted mind, this is a mission from God.
There must be either a credible write-in candidate and a real campaign behind her, or
Republican voters must hold their noses and vote for the Democrat in order to stop Peroutka
from sitting on the County Council, making it a clown show, and ruining the GOP brand.
While I feel Michael Peroutka's view on the Constitution is essential and that it is sorely
lacking in politics today, he has taken some views which DO concern me. First off, while I
understand that he is a fundamentalist, my concern is that he may want to impose his
personal religious view on society. Contrary to what he and his minions want to believe, there
were several of the Founding Fathers who did NOT subscribe to fundamentalism. John Adams
and Thomas Jefferson were among them! Free speech MUST be extended to those whose
views you might consider adversarial! The fourth amendment includes privacy in the home
without having to worry about snoopers 'sticking their nose' in your business as well as having
one's papers safeguarded! Adultery had a wholly different meaning from what
fundamentalists and traditionalists make it out to be! even so, I have a major problem with
the state imposing that kind of penalty!
He is a concern to any Republican running statewide. If people though Neumann was a Trojan
horse they clearly hadn't met Michael whose views are beyond repugnant.
This survey is so targeted against Mike. He would make a great councilman!
Focus on defeating democrats and not Peroutka.
Voters get what they deserve - either by not showing up on Election Day, or by voting for
extremists.
It's the fault of the religious right that Republican s have elected this kind of candidate.
You're just getting what you deserve..
Just what the MD GOP needs, a republican Taliban. The Dems cannot win on the issues so
they will try to win on social issues. Peroutka should not merely resign, he should be publicly
kicked out of the party before he does real damage. Nobody will believe it if Peroutka
disassociates himself, they will think its politics as usual.
If Peroutka wins, he will also have had the support of democrats who share his backward
thinking.
Michael Peroutka has tea party alzheimers. This is the 21st century. There is no God, America
is not a christian nation, and we have to treat black people right no matter how pesky they
are sometimes.
This "survey" was about nothing other than this Peroutka guy. Sigh
His version of how government should function is no better than Fundamentalist Islam. In
the name of God, they hate and destroy.
I am a registered and moderate Republican. Your biases in this "poll" are too numerous to
mention. He won both elections fairly and the party should support him, particularly the
county party.
The Republican Central Committee should actively support a write in candidate.
Your questions are slanted and this poll is a joke. The questions are designed to re-enforce
the existing opinion of Red Maryland. I wonder if any of you had a mentor with whom you
agreed 100% of the time. Being a mentee is not being a clone. I had a fantastic mentor I used
to obtain a lot of knowledge but I still was able to form my on opinions.
Steve schuh said even a bad republican is better than a democrat. What say Steve now?
While I disagree with Michael Peroutka's views, he won the primary. It was the responsibility
of his primary opponents to raise this view, and it was pretty common knowledge before the
election that he was a fundamentalist, maybe the voters knew how far he was and that's why
he won. Or he won on name recognition and money, but either way he won and should stay.
Maybe in the future primary voters need to consider electability more.
We need a District 5 Republican candidate who is a real Republican, has experience with
advocacy in our County.

any radical or racist ideas from him
The more press you give Mr. Peroutka the bigger the problem will become. If people give you
a hard time for exposing him, saying you should focus on beating Democrats - then they
should know that he spent most of his political life as a Constitution Party member telling
people how Republicans were no better than Democrats and taking (very small numbers of)
votes away from Republican presidential nominees as Constitution Party candidate.
How have so many Republicans stayed silent regarding this dangerous Secessionist Theocrat?
Why do Republicans continue to be Political cannibals? Why eat our own? WE are not the
enemy! Nobody agrees with someone else all the time, but take the 95% and be happy.
Michael Peroutka is not the biggest problem the MDGOP is facing. The GOP is failing to find
issues and candidates that make people see a point in registering Republican. People in the
DC suburbs don't buy the "small government, lower taxes" mantra because half of them work
for the govt and see govt cuts as the sole threat to their livelyhood. The demographics for
the GOP are unfavorable and becoming more so, the GOP has failed to find a way to connect
with minorities. The GOP has not found a populist issue that really connects with people in
Maryland today. This is the hard reality the MDGOP can face. It's not about bad PR from one
local fringe candidate, it's a tectonic scale thing that is going to take something massive to
turn around.
I never heard of this guy. I think this type of poll is giving him the attention he wants.
We will never agree with others on everything. Michael is very knowledgeable about our
government. His service to the Council, his perspectives and his ability to articulate his
position will make him a valuable asset to the Council.

The people elected Peroutka so he should not resign from the AACRCC. Let the people, not
the press, decide if he should be on the AA County Council. Perhaps the people agree with
him on more issue than they disagree.
You should add more women & minorities to your presidential list. If that's all the GOP has,
you won't win the White House for 20 years. 2042 is coming :-)
Quit being liberal and focus on conservative issues. The BIBLE should NOT be a divisive issue
that you've made it. Embrace the conservative values. You obviously don't know what
conservative means.
I have attended many IOC classes and have never heard any racism from Peroutka...quite the
opposite
I have perused the website of the League of the South. They are NOT in favor of violent
revolution. The realize that secession is not now practical. There plan is to gradually work
toward secession peacefully. They are NOT against black people and plan to work with them
and treat all men and women as equals. I don't agree with secession, but I don't think their
goals are dangerous. I don't think Michael Peroutka's membership in the organization will
prevent him from representing his district fairly and honorably on either the County Council
or Central Committee.
I won't support republicans if they don't support candidates like Laura Neuman.

liberal 'journalists' on this guy and get back to issues that impact people living in Maryland.
