Nursing I believe is the profession of care to people who cant compensate on the
demands of their health. It is a profession that is holistic. Holistic in the sense that it
should have spiritual, physical, and emotional aspect. Because in caring for the sick, the
patience didnt only need to be cure physically but most of them are in need either
emotional and spiritual.
2. Dorothea Elizabeth Orem ' Self-care deficit nursing theory which states self-care as a
human need, and nurses design interventions to provide or manage self-care actions for
persons to recover or maintain health. When the doctor and nurses finished his medical
intervention in the hospital the patient is required to continually follow the treatment
regimen at home. This includes the instruction given to the patient, the dosage, the
timing, and the date of the follow up checkup. To be able to achieve the optimal status of
its health it is required for him to continuously follow the instruction given until it is
required to stop all the medication. The health of the person is dependent on its own
because the treatment relies on its own decision either to take the meds or disregard all
the meds required. Some patient didnt follow the instructions for some concerns which
cause them to confine again on the hospital.

Pure fresh air- "to keep the air he breathes as pure as the external air without
chilling him."
Pure water- "well water of a very impure kind is used for domestic purposes. And
when epidemic disease shows itself, persons using such water are almost sure to
suffer."
Effective drainage- "all the while the sewer maybe nothing but a laboratory from
which epidemic disease and ill health is being installed into the house."
Cleanliness- "the greater part of nursing consists in preserving cleanliness."
Light(especially direct sunlight)- "the usefulness of light in treating disease is
very important."

Any deficiency in one or more of these factors could lead to impaired functioning
of life processes or diminished health status.

4. Creating positive caring environment creates a positive outcome towards the patients
health. This denotes that the nurses are the one who is responsible for the attitude of the
patients towards its health. One example is that patient who had a good nurses creates a
feeling of being cared holistically because all the complaints of pain and discomfort are
addressed directly compared to patient whose complaint are neglected which sometimes
cause the further feeling of depression. Practically doing a human care need a helping-
trust relationship which is according to Watsons theory which further gives the
assurance of the patients satisfaction of care. Because creating a rapport towards the
patients creates an impression of either they are cared according to what they want and
what they need or they are just cared just because it is a job. There is a big difference of
the care rendered in genuine care than a care done because its a job. Caring genuinely
signifies the willingness of caring, having a goal for the recovery of his patient, and
holistically concern of it outcome. This also gives them hope and faith that there is
someone besides them who is willing to give them help. In the other hand, caring for sake
of its own job suggest a care without empathy which the nurse would not know the
feeling of being cared, the feeling of discomfort felt by him.
Leiningers Transcultural Theory advocate that nursing is a humanistic and scientific
mode of helping a client through specific cultural caring process (cultural values, beliefs
and practices) to improve or maintain a health condition. Illness and wellness are shaped
by a various factors including perception and coping skills, as well as the social level of
the patient. This implies that care rendered will be based on the persons culture which
sometimes result in people choosing not to seek modern medical treatment procedures.
Because of this concern, the healthcare providers must be flexible of the approaches
given to the patient. Thus, requires different approaches to diagnosis, treatment, and cure
including folk and Western medical interventions. The programs, service and policies
also must be able to fit to the patients culture To develop understanding, respect and
appreciation for the individuality and diversity of patients beliefs, values, spirituality and
