Ahh, the ramen burger. It's the cronut's savory counterpart: A juicy beef patty topped with green onion and arugula, swaddled between two salty ramen noodle "buns." Since Keizo Shimamoto debuted the dish at a food festival in Brooklyn, N.Y., people have waited in line for hours to get their hands on some of this salty, noodle-y goodness. Shimamoto even brought the craze to the west coast, selling 500 burgers to dedicated L.A. foodies in early September. If you live somewhere in between, or don't have the desire to wait in line, it's likely you haven't had a chance to try a ramen burger. If you don't have the patience to wait on long lines, you might be better off trying to make this tasty dish for yourself. And guess what? It's way simpler than you think. We made our own version of the ramen burger and now you can too.

Form the ramen "buns." Spray the inside of two deep, flat-bottom bowls with cooking spray and divide the ramen-egg mixture equally among them. Press the noodles into the bottoms of the dishes to form discs, then cover with saran wrap. IMAGE: MASHABLE, LAURA VITTO 5. Weight the "buns" with a heavy glass, can or jar. Soup cans and jam jars work well here. Place both bowls in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes.
