He obtained his M.Phil.& Ph.D from J awaharlal Nehru University, New
Delhi.
He has a permanent position of Professor in the Department of History,
Central University of Hyderabad.
He is a specialist on Indian and Central Asia History, politics and Culture.
He has headed the Chair of Indian Studies at Tbilisi University Georgia.
He has also headed the Chair of Indian Studies at University of West Indies,
Trinidad and Tobago.
He has been awarded several prestigious fellowships, which include: a Senior
Fulbright Fellowship by United States of America
DAAD (Deutscher Akademischer Austausch Dienst), Fellowship by Germany.
Visiting fellowship (twice) by Maison des Sciences del homme of Paris
(FMHS) France.
