The Fig. 160-2 range of Relief Valves are of stainless steel

construction and suitable for relieving excess pressures of liquids
and gases where high discharge rates are not required. The
stainless steel construction makes them ideal for use with a wide
range of aggressive chemicals and gases.
The valve is supplied with a sealing dome on the adjusting screw
to contain any hazardous products
Pressure adjustment is made by unscrewing the sealing dome,
slackening the locknut on the adjusting screw, and rotating it
clockwise to increase or anti-clockwise to decrease the blow off
pressure.

Actuator flange accommodates all

types of operators:handle, gear,
electric, and pneumatic actuators.

Strong precision key gives positeve

attachment for manual lever or
actuator.

Luberized bronze bushings give stem

support at actuator mounting and
immediately outboard of seat.

Shaft weather seal

The phenolic backed seat is
non-col-lapsible,stretch resistant and
blowout proof.Easily field replaceable.

Pressure surge seals are molded inside

the seat shaft hole area. These rings
below disc are materially compatible
with the seat to provide failsafe sealing
around stem,eliminating possible
leakage.

Precision profile disc provides

bubbletight shut off with minimal
disc/seat interference,assuring
minimum torque and longer seat lift.

Precision taper pins ensure

positive.Vibration proot.stem to disc
connection,Easily field replaceable
Valves available with both water and
lug type bodies.Fully lined body in a
broad range of materials-including
Teflon.

Polished disc flatsmatewith seat flats

to give a highly effl-cient seal:prevents
leakage into the stem area.

One piece thru-stem design ensures

dependability and positive disc
control.
Alignment features allow easy
installation between pipeline
