Class Descriptions
NEW PARTICIPANTS... please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to class time. Intro classes are held on the
first Monday of each month. 45 minute ride after orientation and bike set up.
Spinning
: Take the ride of your life! Spinning is a group cycling class which accurately replicates the feel of the cycle on the
road. Experience hills, flat terrains, and jumps using various sitting and standing positions. Spinning is for everyone, at any age, and
any fitness level. It is simple, easy to learn, and a great workout. Monday and Friday 9:00am class includes band work.
Spin Core: 60 and 75 minutes. Spin Core is a combo class which combines a Spinning ride with core training exercises that
strengthen and stabilize the muscles needed for more efficiency during Spinning Class, cycling and everyday class activity.
Spin Intervals: 60 minutes. Blast calories and increase fitness when you challenge the heart through bouts of aerobic and
anaerobic cycling movements followed by active recovery.
SUNDAY SPLASH WATER WORKOUT: A great combination
class of cardio conditioning and muscle toning. The class format will
be fun and dynamic using a variety of equipment with a moderate
intensity level.
HILO H2O: The instructors focus for this class will be demonstrating
higher and lower versions of exercises to personalize your workout.
The format will include muscle and cardio toning and use a variety of
optional equipment. The intensity level can be determined by each
participant.
BOOTCAMP H2O: This class is intended to challenge you. The exercises
will be more difficult, including feet off the bottom exercises and the repeti-
tions will be greater. Expect the instructor to take you through different sta-
tions or circuits. High intensity.
HARDCORE STRENGTH & CONDITIONING: This is a high
intensity class for those that like to work hard. With many challenging
exercises and a variety of equipment being used, participants will
receive a great cross-training workout.
AQUA STRETCH & CARDIO: This class is intended to be a good cardio
workout but extremely gentle on the joints. The only equipment used is
generally a noodle and the intensity level is moderate.
AQUA ZUMBA/AQUA SCULPT: This is a high energy mix of exercises
with fun Latin or Pop music. This class will take you through an awesome
toning and conditioning aerobic workout. Some equipment may be used.
H2O INTERVALS: Alternating between high intensity and lower
intensity exercises, this class will help you burn a maximum amount
of calories and boost your metabolism. Equipment will be used for
strengthening.
The Spinning
program incorporates five Energy Training Zones:

What to bring:
Towel. Youd be surprised how much you can sweat in a
Spinning
class.
Heart rate monitor. The Spinning
program is based
on heart rate parameters.
Stiff-soled shoes or cycling shoes.
Moisture-wicking clothing. Wear a lightweight shirt
such as a cycling jersey to keep you cool and dry.
Padded cycling shorts.
Water, water, and more water, before, during, and
after you ride.

Water Fitness Class Descriptions
Water Exercise Classes:
Water Exercise classes offer a total body workout that is challenging and fun for all ages and fitness levels. Water provides lower impact on the joints but more resistance
for muscle toning and cardio conditioning. Speak with our certified instructors if you have special needs or questions about your workout. Water shoes are strongly
recommended but not required. Check the whiteboard near the aquatic equipment room to find out the instructors name and which equipment will be used for the class.
All classes begin with a warm-up and end with a cooldown. The format and intensity will vary depending on the class you choose, but all of the classes can be modified to
meet your fitness needs. Join us as soon as you can; youll be glad you did!
