Civil Rights activists started to become more organized in their protests. They banded together with the Montgomery Bus Boycott which showed what the economic power of the Black Community was. They also began to organise things such as the sit-ins and Freedom Rides. The leaders became more and more well known. Martin Luther King won the Nobel Peace Prize and he was also seen on the television by many Americans who had not seen him before. As the protests grew, the government became more involved and took a bigger part. They helped support the students at Little Rock as well as passing the Civil Rights Act of 1964

One reason why the Scots were successful at the Battle of Stirling Bridge was the fact that the English commanders were unprepared. They were not sure of where they would cross and one of them was late to the battle. PAGE 2 Another reason they were successful was because of the tactics used by Moray and Wallace. They waited until the right moment to attack in order to ensure that they destroyed enough of the enemy to make sure that they didnt counter-attack
