The Call to Worship

~ based on Isaiah 40 ~

Leader: To whom will you compare
Me that I should be like him? says the
Holy One.

Lift up your eyes on high and see: who
created these? He who brings our their
host by number, calling them all by
name? By the greatness of His might,
and because He is strong in power not
one is missing.

Have you not known? Have you not
heard? The Lord is the everlasting God,
the Creator of the ends of the earth.

Unison: He does not faint or grow
weary; his understanding is unsearch-
able. He gives power to the faint and to
him who has no might he increases
strength.

Leader: Even youths shall faint and be
weary, and young men shall fall
exhausted

Unison: but they who wait on the
Lord shall renew their strength; they
shall mount up with wings like eagles;
they shall run and not be weary; they
shall walk and not be faint.

Prayer of Adoration

Songs of Praise & Worship

"Everlasting God"

Strength will rise
As we wait upon the Lord
We will wait upon the Lord
We will wait upon the Lord

Our God, You reign forever
Our hope, our Strong Deliverer
You are the everlasting God
The everlasting God
You do not faint
You won't grow weary

You're the defender of the weak
You comfort those in need
You lift us up on wings like eagles

"Majestic"

O Lord, our Lord
How majestic is
Your name in all the earth
O Lord, our Lord
How majestic is
Your name inall the earth

chorus
The heavens declare
Your greatness
The oceans cry out to You
The mountains
They bow down before You
So I'll join with the earth
And I'll give my praise to You

bridge
I will worship You, I will worship You
I will worship You, I will worship You

We will worship You
We will worship You

O For a Thousand Tongues

O for a thousand tongues to sing
My great Redeemers praise
The glories of my God and King
The triumphs of His grace

My gracious Master and my God
Assist me to proclaim
To spread through all the earth abroad
The honours of Thy name

Jesus, the name that charms our fears
That bids our sorrows cease
Tis music in the sinners ears
Tis life and health and peace

He breaks the power of cancelled sin
He sets the prisoner free
His blood can make the foulest clean
His blood availed for me

Hear Him, ye deaf; His praise, ye dumb
Your loosened tongues employ
Ye blind, behold your Saviour come
And leap, ye lame, for joy
Call to Repentance & Renewal

~ Psalm 33:13-14 ~

Leader: The Psalmist tells us,

The Lord looks down from heaven; He
sees all the children of man; from where
He sits enthroned He looks out on all the
inhabitants of the earth, He who fashions
the hearts of them all and observes all
their deeds.

Prayer of Confession

Leader: Merciful and holy God, You
pardon all who truly turn from their sins
and look to You in faith. We humbly con-
fess our sins and ask for Your mercy: we
have not loved You with a pure heart, nor
have we loved our neighbour as
ourselves. We have not done justice,
loved kindness, or walked humbly with
You, our God.

~ Silent Confession & Reflection ~

Leader: Have mercy on us, O God. In
Your lovingkindness and great com-
passion, cleanse us from all our sins in
thought, word, and deed. Create in us
clean hearts, O God, and renew a right
spirit within us. Do not cast us from Your
presence or take Your Holy Spirit from
us. Restore to us the joy of Your salvation
and sustain us with a willing spirit,
through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

The Words of The Gospel

~ 1 Timothy 1:15 ~

Leader: Here are word that you may full
trust, words that deserve full acceptance:
Christ Jesus cam into the world to save
sinners.

To all who confess their sins and trust in
the Lord Jesus Christ, He says, Your
sins are forgiven. He also says, Follow
me.

Song of Response

The Fathers Love

How has the sinner been forgiven
How has the rebel been made clean
Or blinded eyes been made to see
How have the orphans been adopted
Who hated Your love and ran from grace
Despised and rejected all Your ways

chorus
How wonderful the Fathers love
The Fathers love for us
That He would send His only Son
To come and rescue us
He has saved us, called us blameless
Guides us now and will sustain us
Oh how wonderful the Fathers love

Your mercy floods
Our lives with kindness
Your grace has coloured all we see
And You have promised not to leave
You freely give Your Spirit to us
So we can be sure were sons of God
And rest in the hope of whats to come

(repeat chorus)

bridge
Though sufferings may fill our lives
Were confident were heirs with Christ
And so we cry, Abba, Father
The Prayers of the People
for the Church and City

Leader: Let us pray.

Unison: Our Father in Heaven, hallow-
ed be your name. Your Kingdom come,
Your will be done, on earth as it is in
heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread, and
forgive us our debts as we also have
forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into
temptation, but deliver us from evil.
For the kingdom, the power, and the
glory are yours, now and forever. Amen.

From the shouts of the strong (echo)
From the lips of all people (echo)

Exalted in every nation

Songs for Communion

Cornerstone

My hope is built on nothing less
Than Jesus blood and righteousness
I dare not trust the sweetest frame
But wholly trust in Jesus name

chorus
Christ alone, Cornerstone
Weak made strong in the Saviours love
Through the storm, He is Lord
Lord of all

When darkness seems to hide His face
I rest on His unchanging grace
In every high and stormy gale
My anchor holds within the veil
My anchor holds within the veil

(repeat chorus)

When He shall come with trumpet sound
Oh, may I then in Him be found
Dressed in His righteousness alone
Faultless to stand before the throne

(repeat chorus)

Jesus Paid It All (O Praise the One)

I hear the Saviour say
Thy strength indeed is small
Child of weakness, watch and pray
Find in Me thine all in all

chorus
Jesus paid it all
All to Him I owe
Sin had left a crimson stain
He washed it white as snow

Lord, now indeed I find
Thy power and Thine alone
Can change the lepers spots
And melt the heart of stone

(repeat chorus)

And when before the throne
I stand in Him complete
Jesus died my soul to save
My lips shall still repeat

(repeat chorus)

bridge
Oh, praise the One who paid my debt
And raised this life up from the dead

Last Weeks Givings: $ 5,849.55

Annual Church Retreat: August 22-24
There will be no service at the Confederation Park Activity Centre on August 24th
due to the church retreat. We invite you to join us at Camp Harmattan for our
Sunday morning worship service.

Sunday School Update:
Fall is quickly approaching and we will be starting up our Sunday School program.
In order to continue the program, we are needing more help with this ministry. We
are specifically needing teachers and helpers in the classrooms. Teams teach on a
rotation basis - one month on and one month off. We also value Potluck Sundays as
family time to get to know one another and so there is no Sunday School on those
Sundays. Therefore the commitment for teachers and helpers is 3 out of 4 sundays
with a month break! Teachers must be members of NCC. If you are interested in
being a part of the Sunday School ministry at NCC or would like some more
information, please contact Lana Bottomley (the-bottomleys@shaw.ca).

Servant Team Schedules
These will be sent out via email, so be sure that you are receiving our emails. You
