1. Give Hard reset to the TRX and wait for 30 seconds 2. If the alarm re-appears, replace the TRX Unit 1. Give Hard reset to the TRX and wait for 30 seconds 2. If the alarm re-appears, replace the TRX Unit 1.Take out the TRX. 2. Look for any damage in TRX ports 3. Insert the TRX in to the slot properly. 4. Wait for 30Secs. If the alarm re-appears replace the TRX 1. Take out the TRX which is showing RED LED. 2. By using torch light closely look at the backplane 3. Is there any PIN is bend and touching the other PIN's? 4. If any damage in backplane take the permission for planned activity and replace the back plane. 5. If there is no any PIN's are bend, try to swap TRX and watch the alarm re-appears or not 6. If the alarm transfer to the other location replace that TRX 1. Take out the EAC cable and plug it again. 2. If still alarm persist give hard reset to the BOIA. 3. If still alarm not cleared try to re-comission the BOIA. 1. Change the port in Combiner, problem transferred to other TRX? Then combiner unit is faulty 2. If alarm still persists, swap the SMA connector 3. If still alarm is there, then the TRX unit is faulty 1. Is the cabinet contains Synchronization cable? 2. If Yes: Try to recomission the BOIA 3. If No: Check is there any problem in IF1 of FXC card?If there is some BER try to solve it, by tracing the E1. 4. If the IF1 is stable, set the BOIA clock to 13MHz by using frequency meter, if you dont have any the clock value should be near to 2020. 5. Set the value and try to check the clock by next day. If clock slips to ZERO. Then change the BOIA 1. Give hard reset to the TRX. Monitor for 30secs. Alarm cleared? 2. Give hard reset to the BB2A.Monitor for 30Secs.Alarm cleared? 3. Replace the BB2A card Interface Problem between BCF and CHDSP Software Antenna Connection Faulty BB2A unit is faulty (BB2A Led will be RED) 8 Oscillator adjusting temporarily Interupted 4 Connection between the TRX and Combiner unit is not perfect BOIA clock is out of Synch I2C Bus is Jammed The data bus behind the TRX, (i-e) Backplane is having some problem 7 6 TRX Output power is over driven 1 2 TRX not fitted perfectly with the back plane External Alarm Cable connection is not proper or the BOIA not detected the EAC cable EAC I2C Bus is Jammed 3 5 Alarms and Solutions TRX Software is hanged TRX is faulty TSXX Lost connection to temperature sensor TSXX Output power is too low Sl.No Alarm Problem Description Solution 1. Any problem in the ET? If yes trouble shoot it. 2. Is the Traffic manager is perfect in FXC card?. If no trouble shoot it. 3. Sometimes TRX faulty also will give you this alarm 4. Sometimes backplane faulty alse will give you this alarm 1. Through BTS manager find which cooling fan is giving you problem 2. By using rack/shelf specification you can find which cooling fan gone faulty. 3. Find the cooling fan is running? If yes, take out the fan, clean it and put back again. Check with BTS Manager. Alarm is cleared? 4. If no replace the Fan unit with the sapre unit. 11 BB2 has lost connection to temperature sensor False alarm - due to BTS Software Power reset to the cabinet may solve this problem 12 MMI Connected to Base Station Computer/Laptop is connected to BTS When you remove the Laptop/PC connection, the alarm automatically will clear. No any action required 1. Open the Nokia UltraSite BTS Hub Manager and check the active alarms. If this base station or other base stations beyond it otherwise operate properly, there is no need for an immediate repair. However, the transmission alarms for the faulty unit are n 2. Reset the faulty transmission unit. Note: Resetting the unit affects the traffic routed through it. 3. If the alarm reappears after the transmission unit reset, switch the cabinet power off and on. 4. If the alarm reappears after the recovery actions above, replace the faulty transmission plug-in unit. 1. Check what are the hardware available in BTS 2. Open BTS Hardware Configurator 3. Configure the Hardwares and Cabling between the units. 4. Define the Antenna connection 5. Send the configuration file to BTS. 1. By using Site Master check the VSWR of the Feeder cable. 2. If the value is greater than 1.4, then find the fault location by using Distnace to fault ratio. 3. Then rectify the problem and re-check the VSWR value. 4. Monitor the alarm for 24Hrs. Alarm re-appears? 5. If yes check for the Cross Feeder problems&correct it. 6. Repeat the 4th Step.
