Everyone tried to dismiss her, but the woman in todays gospel would not go away. Her persistence
resulted in her daughters cure. Persistence is a virtue of parenting. We must persist in teaching our
children, advocating for them, being models for them and loving them. Parenting is a lifetime career.
320 Holy Hours were kept with Our Lord in Eucharistic Adoration last week.
Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration gives tone to a parish a feeling of reverence
and awe, a feeling that here at St Augustine, the Lord is at home. Eucharistic

Attention Bakers of the Parish: Again this year we will have the
infamous dessert table at the parish picnic. We are asking for a batch
or two of your favorite baked goods for all to enjoy. Goodies can be
brought to the rectory during the week from 8:30-4:30, Saturday in the school following the
4:00pm Mass. Items can be brought in bulk, we will plate them for the picnic. Happy
Baking!
There will be an Inquiry Night for the RCIA Monday, August 25 at 7:00 pm in the Rectory
Meeting Room. If you know someone who may be interested in growing in their relationship
with Jesus and learning about what Catholics believe, please invite them to attend, or to call
Karen at 330-745-0011 x 18. Thank you.

RCIA NEEDS: The RCIA begins a new year of sessions on Monday, September 8. We meet almost
every week through the end of April. As part of St. Augustine hospitality, refreshments are served. The
team provides the beverages and paper products. We try not to ask those attending to bring goodies, at
least through December. Therefore, would you be willing to provide a snack one week? Items may be
left at the Rectory during the day or in the evening until 6:30. To learn more or to volunteer, please call
Karen at 745-0011 x 18. Thank you.
