2. Operation of the system
To ensure temperature of cast concrete <= 22
o
C in cold months (from December to
February), <= 24
o
C in dry season (from March to November) as well as capacity of
concrete and environment condition in production area. Concrete mixing station
operates as follows:
2.1. Container and material-supplying systems
2.1.1. Container and aggregate-supplying system
- In good weather condition (temperature <=26
o
C) RCC aggregate is supplied
directly from the stock yard in RCC aggregate crushing and screening (Area 1 in
master plan) or outdoor RCC aggregate stock yard (Area 22A in master plan) in the
16-containing funnel by tipper truck (or by skid steer loader).
- If the weather is not good (temperature >=26
o
C) aggregate must be moved to
roofed area (Area 3E in master plan) before 36h. Then use skid steer loader to
transport it from roofed area to 16-containing funnel.
- In order to ensure that aggregate does not have sand during transportation of
aggregate from 22A stock yard to carry truck before it is transported to roofed area or
containing funnel the tyre of the truck must be cleaned at 3l washing area.

- Aggregate stock yard bins have dust cover to minimize dust arising from loading
aggregate. At the same time there is a net to prevent strange thing from dropping into
the funnel.
2.1.2. System of containing and providing cement, fly ash.
- Total capacity of fly ash silo of the system is 8x250 tons.
- Total capacity of cement silo of the system is 4x250 tons.
- Cement storage, backup fly ash capacity 2000 tons.
- Cement, fly ash are provided directly to silo from cement and fly ash tank car. Or
from backup storage through screw conveyor 01 and charging bucket 02.
- To reduce dust during loading to silo, in the top of silo there must be air filter bag to
collect dust.
2.1.3. Water filteration and hard water processing system
- Before loading natural water to production system of cold water and flake ice it
must be processed in water filteration and hard water processing system to ensure
operation conditions and longevity of water cooling and flake ice maker machines.
2.1.4. Production system of cold water and flake ice
- After natural water is processed in filteration and processing system of hard water,
it is loaded to the tank, machine of cold water production will run circulatingly to
ensure temperature of water at < 5
o
C.
- Flake ice maker takes water from cold water tank. After having made flake ice, it is
moved to below flake ice stock yard.
- In flake ice stock yard there is insulated wall, air-conditioner to maintain the
temperature and backward bucket to move flake ice to horizontal screw conveyor.
2.1.5. Admixture container
- Admixture is put in 200-litre barrel. It is moved to the construction site where
admixture continues to be loaded from barrels to the tank 2x20 m3.
2.2. Controlling system
- Capacity of each station module is 250 m3/h. It is controlled by 01 PC along with
specialized German controller PLC S7-200 whose features are as follows :
+ Control measurement which automatically compensates for the delay data.
+ Pre-install 99 concrete grades.
+ Allow automatic calculation of number mixings per each built-in concrete grade

- Management software can store, print according to forms containing supporting
related information for better management.
- Collect and follow up data from modules and digital modules to manage status of
the station, display data and instant status in PC monitor.
+ Quick search of grades formulas related components.
+ Print confirmation of quantity of concrete via scale linked to each customer.
+ Process, store, follow up customers in each stage flexibly.
+ Process, store, check consumption of material in each stage flexibly.
+ Process, store, check each concrete grade in each stage flexibly.
+ Make statistics of output of concrete in each stage flexibly.
2.3. Systems of material quantitative.
2.3.1 Quantitative of aggregate
- Barrel of aggregate scaling uses 4 load cell CTL 2500 kg, pulling type.
- Aggregate is drained directly from containing funnel (16) to barrel of aggregate
scaling (15), the software panel will control to open/close the drainage door of
containing funnel 16, corresponding to the volume of installation.
2.3.2 Quantitative of cement, fly ash.
- Cement weighing tank, fly ash use 3 load cell type FTL 1000 kg, bending type.
- Cement, fly ash from containing silo (02) are being transport to weight screw
(04) into
- cement weighing tank, fly ash (06). The software panel will control to
off/interrupt engine of gearbox, corresponding to the volume of installation.
2.3.3 Quantitative of cool water
- Water weighing tank uses 1 load cell type FTL 2000 kg, bending type.
- Cool water from water tank (17A) is being transported through pumps into water
barrel (05). The software panel will control to off / interrupt the pumps,
corresponding to the volume of installation.
2.3.4 Quantitative of liquid additives.
- Liquid additives are being quantitative by Flowmenter .
- Liquid additives from tank are being transported through pumps into water barrel
(5) to be drained with cool water. The software panel will control to off / interrupt
the pumps, corresponding to the volume of installation.

2.3.5 Quantitative of flake ice
- Flake ice weighing tank uses 2 load cell type 200 kg, bending type.
- Flake ice in its store is being transported to flake ice weighing tank (19), through
horizontal screw distributor and Flake ice weighing screw conveyor (18). The
software panel will control to off / interrupt the engines of screw, corresponding to
the volume of installation.
2.4 Concrete mixing and discharge
- After finishing quantitative process, the aggregate would be discharge from scale
of aggregate through horizontal conveyor (14), oblique conveyor (15) and
intermediate aggregate funnel (10). Flake ice would be discharged on oblique
conveyor and transported to intermediate funnel, discharged into mixer along with
aggregate. Cement, fly ash are discharged into mortar. Water and liquid additives are
discharged into mixer through discharging pump.
- At mixer, the material ingredients would be mixed after a certain period of time.
- RCC finished concrete is discharged directly on conveyor system, transported to
pouring divisions or to mixing truck
- At the center area, locate mixer well to minimize the dust amount, generated
from processes of discharging material types into mortars, central air filter (07)
type of air filter designed as dust collector.
