MONDAYEVANGELISTIC PRAYER
Chronological Bible Reading: Ps al m 139- 141; 2 Cori nt hi ans 7
Monday, September 1
Rom. 10: 9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt
believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
Glorious Lord of My Life:
There has to be confession in order for there to be possession. No mere
mental assent on a man or womans part gives them salvation from you. Help
me also confess you before others today and say, Jesus is Lord of my life.
There must be belief in order for the heart to be engaged. I am not
motivated to do things I have no emotional attachment to. Help me act like I
should act, so I will start feeling what I should feel! If you raised Jesus from the
dead, it is no big miracle for you to raise-up my dormant emotions. (Oh Lord!)
If I have truly and sincerely both confessed and believed then I am saved
saved from sin and self. As a believer I am saved from hell; as a confessor I am
saved from the world. I am saved spiritually and set apart physically. I can now
plead this verse before the throne, throughout life, and at the judgment seat of
Christ. Thats because I am saved from the guilt of sin, from the chastisement of
carnality, and from the shame of being distracted from the mission!
Lord, deliver others today even as you saved me in the past, and preserve
me for the future. Use me to take the tale of everlasting and eternal life to
__________ and __________. Lord, let many people be added to your kingdom
this Sunday through our preaching and our worship services. Lord, give us souls
in our services, and give me souls in my service!
Rom. 10: 10, 13 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the
mouth confession is made unto salvation. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord
shall be saved.
In the Lord Jesus name I ask it all. Amen.
TUESDAYFOCUS ON CHRISTS LIFE
Chronological Bible Reading: Ps al m 142- 144; 2 Cori nt hi ans 8
Tuesday, September 2
Mat t . 11: 28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give
you rest.
Righteous Father and Living Lord:
There is no work like trying to work for salvation. There is nothing harder
than trying to earn your way to heaven. Thank you for leading me to ultimate and
final rest in Christ Jesus! Give me a voice today to draw others to the cross and
the finished work of Christ.
Nothing can be freer than a gift. I pray for those who will accept gladly
what you have to give, because what you have to give is so great! They cannot
buy it. They are not allowed to borrow it, but they may freely receive it by faith.
Lord, how many people do I see (and I work with!) who labor under the
lash of ambition? They toil under the care of covetousness. They work overtime
for lust. They always seek more, trying to relieve their anxiety. Send me with a
message to set them free from that iron bondage, and give them rest.
They are laden. Yes, heavy laden with sin, heavy laden with fear, heavy
laden with regrets, heaven laden with wearinessfeeling trapped and imprisoned
by work, or by life, or by family, or by fear of death.
Help me come to you, for you will unload me. Since you carried the
crushing mass of my sin and became my great burden-bearer, then I can escape
this pressure by giving all my cares to you.
1 Pet . 5: 7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
Jesus, give me rest. I put you to the test. I give up every false hope in order
to think of you, believe Gods testimony, and trust all to you. In exchange for this
you will give me a rest that deepens into heaven. Help me focus on the security
I have by your Spirit, and let that be a testimony of Jesus love. Amen.
WEDNESDAYREVIVAL PRAYING
Chronological Bible Reading: Ps al m 145- 147; 2 Cori nt hi ans 9
Wednesday, September 3
2 Cor. 1: 22 Who hath also sealed us, and given the earnest of the Spirit in our
hearts.
God of My Anointing:
No faith is genuine that does not carry the seal of the Holy Spirit. No love
and no hope can save me unless it is sealed by the Spirit of God. Faith that is
unsealed is uncertain. It is a profession of salvation, not a possession of it.
Help me never be content until I am sealed and sure through the inner
witness and testimony of your Holy Spirit.
A sealing means preservation. You have sealed me until Christ returns to
fully redeem me by raising my body from the dead, and fully redeem the world
by purging it from sin, and fully redeem all life by making it a kingdom of your
righteousness. That fulfills the eternal purpose of God!
Lord, you know that for me, sin is as easy as it is wicked. So help me not
grieve the Holy Spirit who seals me. I grieve him by impure thoughts, when my
heart goes after covetousness, when my mouth utters rudeness, and if I set
myself on anything evil. I want my thoughts to run after you, and not after sin.
I grieve you more if I indulge in outward acts of sin. If I neglect prayer,
forget to read my Bible, wont seek to serve, and live merely for my family or
myself and not for you! Then the Holy Spirit is grieved. Ingratitude also grieves.
Oh, heavenly Dove, do not leave me to myself! This is why revival tarries.
You are grieved most by my unbelief. When I distrust Gods promise, given to be
applied; when I doubt the power or affection of my Lord, then the Spirit grieves.
Do not suspend your work! Do not leave me behind. Do not remove your
presence. I can endure anything but the loss of your anointing. Let me know
revival through your power today, for Jesus sake. Amen.
A DAILY PATTERN FOR PRAYER & BIBLE READING
Chronological Bible Reading: Ps al m 148- 150; 2 Cori nt hi ans 10
Thursday, September 4
Josh. 14: 12 Now therefore give me this mountain, whereof the Lord spake in that day; if
so be the Lord will be with me, then I shall be able to drive them out, as the Lord said.
LET not thy hands be slack, live not in vain;
Out on lifes lonely track men toil in pain.
Play thou a brothers part, strength, love, and hope impart,
Bid thou the fainting heart, look up again.

Let not thy hands be slack, Grip thou thy Sword!
Why shouldst thou courage lack? Think of thy Lord.
Did He not fight for three? Stronger than all is He.
And He thy strength will be, rest on His Word

Let not thy hands be slack, haste to the fray!
Dream not of turning back: life is not play!
Gird thou thy armor on, fight till the battles won,
Then shall thy Lords Well done, more than repay!

Let not thy hands be slack, Fear not! Be strong!
Cease not to make attack on every wrong!
Press on for truth and right, hold high the Gospel light,
Expel the dirge of night with Heavens song!

FRIDAY CORPORATE PRAYER MINISTRY
Chronological Bible Reading: Prove rbs 1- 3; 2 Cori nt hi ans 11
Friday, September 5
Jer. 2: 19 Thine own wickedness shall correct thee, and thy backslidings shall reprove
thee: know therefore and see that it is an evil thing and bitter, that thou hast forsaken the
LORD thy God, and that my fear is not in thee, saith the Lord GOD of hosts.
Master and Commander:
I SEE SO MANY CHRISTIANS WHO TAKE THE LIFE OF GOD AND WASTE IT,
because they only live by their own strength. Help us live the life of God to the
full, and do it in front of others! Make us love you more, and show it.
THERE ARE SOME FOR WHOM GRACE IS ONLY A DIM LIGHT. Renew their
batteries. Bring back the wanderers. They surely must be depressed, because there
is no joy apart from you. Reconcile them to us and restore our fellowship in full.
THERE ARE OTHERS WHOSE CARELESSNESS AND INDIFFERENCE HAS LED
THEM TO UNGODLINESS. May the sword of your Spirit pierce them through. Slay
our apathy so our souls can live. Put the knife to the neck of our sins, Lord.
Though they tread delicately like Agag, hew them in pieces (1 Sam 15).
TO OUR SHAME, WE HAVE SOME WHO ARE PROUD AND SELF-RIGHTEOUS.
Lord, you are a polished shaft; smite their heart and strike it down. Make us stoop
to ask mercy at your hands. Make us humble and contrite. Look on us when we
are broken-hearted. Relieve us where we are heavy-laden. Strengthen us when we
have no helper. In the belly of the whale we will remember the Lord.
Mighty God of Jacob, lead us forth like an army that stretches from here to
every field where we have a missionary. The cross has already divided the Red
Sea. Help us lead many through the flood, before Satan and his armies devour
them. Change our worldview and give us that perspective on your purpose.
Let me participate today in seeking and saving the lost. Save multitudes,
because you know all those who are yours. Let Jesus be rewarded by this. Amen.
SATURDAYIN THE PSALMS
Chronological Bible Reading: Prove rbs 4- 6; 2 Cori nt hi ans 12
Saturday, September 6
Ps a. 130: 2 Lord, hear my voice: let thine ears be attentive to the voice of my
supplications.
Lord, O LORD: Depths usually silence all they engulf, but they cannot close
my mouth (nor especially my heart). Prayer lives beneath the flood. Faith cries
below the billows. It matters not where I amI can pray! But my prayers are
never more real than when they rise up from the worst spots. Deep calls unto
devotion. Deep desire is stirred-up by depth of tribulation. Deep distress moves
me deeply. Bitter trials stir me to the bottom of my soul. Diamonds sparkle best
in darkness. The more distressed, the more durable is my faith made. And since I
trust in you Lord, I appeal to you alone. I cry out of the depths so I can sing in
the heights. There is a voice in my weeping that you can hear.
Ps a. 130: 4 But there is forgiveness with thee, that thou mayest be feared.
Stresses cause me to come confessing I am a sinner. I admit I cannot stand
before you in my own righteousness, yet full and free pardon is in your hand.
Because your very nature is mercy, you provided a sacrifice for sin. It is your right
to forgive, and I praise you for exercising it on all who believe in Christ Jesus!
Ps a. 130: 5 I wait for the LORD, my soul doth wait, and in his word do I hope.
Thank you for the power of pardon. Because of it, I can wait for you to
come for me in love. You have wrath no longer. Waiting on God is beneficial. It
flexes my faith, exercises my patience, teaches me submission, and makes your
blessing more amazing. Believers waited for your first coming, and now I
wait for your second. I have waited in dark valleys, so I am not weary waiting
for deliverance. Past prayers sustain my present patience, your word being the
source of the strength of my faith. Those who do not hope cannot wait, but I
hope in you. Bring salvation according to your word for Jesus sake. Amen.

HARVEST BAPTIST CHURCH

HOW TO BUILD A BALANCED LIFE

1) TIMEWORSHIP
Mark 1:35 And in the morning, rising up a great while before day, he went out, and
departed into a solitary place, and there prayed.
GIVE GOD THE FIRST PART OF EVERY DAY. The first commitment is
to a daily quiet time with God. Our weekly Prayer Diary provides a template for daily
devotions.

2) TITHEWORK
1 Cor 16:2 Upon the first day of the week let every one of you lay by him in store, as
God hath prospered him, that there be no gatherings when I come.
GIVE GOD THE FIRST DIME OF EVERY DOLLARno questions
asked. Ten percent is a miniscule amount in our affluent society, but it must come
off the top in order to show that God is our priority. We want the blessing of the
firstfruits (first devotion, first dime and first day) to flow out to the rest of our
resources.

3) TEAMWORD
Heb 10:25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is;
but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.
GIVE GOD THE FIRST DAY OF EVERY WEEK. You should fellowship
with a group of believers around the word of God every Sunday in our church.

QUALITY CHRISTIANITY INVOLVES THREE THINGS
! Keeping Christ at the center (your core relationship of worship to God)
! Keeping the body of Christ a priority (your congregational relationship of
walking with us)
! Basing beliefs and actions on the mind of Christ (your church relationship in
the Word)

PRAYER DIARY

" INTERCEDE WITH GOD " INSTRUCT SAINTS
" PROMPT PETITIONS " KICKSTART DEVOTION

INSTRUCTIONS:

Baptists tend to ridicule liturgical churches that use "prepared prayers" because
they lack spontaneity. But for many Baptists, their prayers are so predictable they are
no more spontaneous than written-out prayers. The result is we end up praying the
same things over and over.
This daily Prayer Diary will prompt you on a wide range of prayer requests you
might not normally think of, while forcing you to articulate a deeper devotion to
God. We have included a daily Bible reading schedule. This plan will take you
through the Bible chronologically in a year.
Do not read ahead and do not try to catch up. Use each day as it comes. Then
you can know that on any given day, dozens of other people are lifting their hearts in
the same mind to God. Pray what is written, but use what is prayed as a springboard
for your own relationship with God. You learn to pray by praying.
Alan

Secret prayer is the secret of prayer, the soul of prayer, the seal of prayer, the
strength of prayer. If you do not pray alone you do not pray at all. Our Lord Jesus
Christ would go nowhere till He had prayed. He would attempt nothing till He had
prayed.
Oh, says one, I live in the spirit of prayer, and therefore I do not need times
and seasons for prayer. And do you think that Christ did not live in the spirit of
prayer? Yet He had to have his special time and place to pray. Do not fall under the
injurious notion that because your spirit cries to God in prayer all day long, therefore
there must not be some season for more immediately coming into Gods presence. If
you imagine this, I am afraid that it will prove a snare to your feet. The Lord Jesus
Christ, who knew better than you do that the main thing is the spirit of prayer rather
than the act of prayer, yet Himself retired into desert places to maintain the act and
exercise of prayer. Be spiritual. Be baptized into the spirit of prayer. But do not be
deceived by the enemy, who can steal a spirit away while we dream that we only
spiritualize it. We had better preserve the very bones of prayerthe posture, the
time, placerather than let it all ooze away into an impalpable mental condition.
God keep us prayerful. He will do so if He makes us like His dear Son.
Charles H. Spurgeon, 1834-92
