Mostly, enterprises are Project-based or Rule-based
In Project based enterprise, more flexibility is required in
defining and assigning roles to people. One role can
perform multiple activities. In Oracle HRMS, normally
jobs are used to represent roles, wherein roles cease
with the exit of people from enterprise.
You can find a rule-based enterprise typically in
government agencies, education, health care, public
sector, and non-profit agencies, wherein posts exist
independently of people. Positions are controlled, with
detailed approvals typically for reporting.
