Trips of the month
We went on some amazing outings throughout the
past month! Our Community Members enjoyed the
Ripleys Aquarium in downtown Toronto where we
saw sharks, eels and all sorts of aquatic life. We then
went to the African Lion Safari to see more wildlife
and were wowed by the vast array of animals. We
say goodbye to the summer months after enjoying
Thursday Nights in the Park listening to many tribute
bands including Neil Diamond, Tom Jones, Elton John
and Abba. We got up and danced the night away along
with hundreds of others from the Community.
Victory Gardens
Our Victory Gardens have stayed in great
shape all summer! Our Community Members
are constantly maintaining and improving their
gardens and helping out fellow members to
maintain theirs. Many of the gardens are growing
beautiful flowers and some even large tomatoes,
cucumbers and many herbs!
Thank you Team Member!
We want to thank all the Team Members
from V!VA Pickering for being so energetic
and enthusiastic as they have helped out
a neighbouring V!VA Community with the
Lifestyles Programming. They will be returning
back to their Community in the near future and
I am sure their Community Members will be
happy to have the amazing group back.
Welcome Jeff Mudrick!
We want to welcome Jeff Mudrick as the new Lifestyles
Manager. Jeff thanks all the Community Members and
Team Members for such a warm welcome and is excited
to bring new ideas and opportunties to the Community
Members at V!VA Thornhill Woods. Jeff comes to us after
living in both beautiful Lake Louise, Alberta and Halifax,
Nova Scotia and has returned home to the Richmond Hill
area to settle down. Jeff is looking forward bringing new
activities and events to the community. We welcome Jeff
and look forward to what he has to offer!
WEL Group
We had plenty of entertertainment through the doors of V!VA Thornhill Woods. Weve had weekend
performers as well as the WEL Group who performed in front of a full house in our beautiful V!VAplex.
Women Enjoying Life group players sang, danced, and laughed with our Community Members yet again
and will be welcomed again!
