RE: Request for Verification of Petition and Voter Registration Cards

Dear Clerk:

Attached as Exhibit A to this letter is a copy of a nominating petition purporting
to establish the bona fides to appear on the ballot as a candidate for U.S. Senate. On the
copy of the petition we have provided, we have highlighted each of the signatures that is
accompanied by an address within your county. We hereby request that you verify that
each of these signatures is the signature of an individual registered to vote in your county.
Pursuant to KRS 61.872, et seq., I request that you provide the following:

1. Copies of the voter registration signature cards or other verifying
documentation for each of the individuals who signed the nominating petition
pages indicating an address in your county.

2. Please include with your response (1) the sum of the total number of signatures
on the petition pages indicating an address in your county for which a voter
registration card is produced or could be verified, and separately (2) the sum
of the total number of signatures on the petition pages indicating an address in
your county for which a voter registration card could not be located.

3. If and only if you cannot or will not provide the sum requested in paragraph
2, please provide the following:

a. For each signature on the petition for which a voter registration card could
not be located either by signature, address, birthdate and/or any
combination thereof, copies of any and all documentation, electronically
stored information or electronically displayed information (in a readily
readable format) demonstrating that no voter registration card could be
found.

b. Additionally, please produce copies of any notes, notations, tabulations or
other documents, including but not limited to electronically stored
information or electronically displayed information, relating to efforts to
locate the voter registration cards or otherwise comply with this request.

This request is not made for a commercial purpose. If a requested document contains a
social security number or other private information preventing its production, please
provide a redacted copy.

As required by the statute, we agree the pay the fee for copying the documents
and other materials and would like to personally pick up the documents upon completion
of this request.

The statutes setting the election calendar necessitate that this request be met
quickly. Because we understand and regret the inconvenience, we further agree to pay
your reasonable costs in additional staffing and/or employee overtime required to satisfy
this request. For the same reason, we ask that you begin immediately rather than wait
for further verification that we wish you to produce the documents.
