Activity
We are going to make our
own Gond style paintings!
Materials :
Pencil and scratch paper
for sketching
18 x 24 Bristol paper
Tempera paint
Assorted Paint brushes
Extra fine point markers
Activity: Step 1
Pick an animal, or a few, that you would like to feature in your
painting
You may want to include some plants and flowers in your drawing
Sketch your animal in action so that it shows movement


Think THIS NOT this
Activity: Step 2
After your sketch is
complete, transfer your
drawing to the Bristol paper
Paint your drawing!
Remember that your
colors should not
necessarily be realistic!
Be sure to clean up your
area and materials
Activity: Step 3
After your drawing is painted,
add some line and pattern in
pencil
Make sure that your
lines/patterns enhance the
movement of your figures!
Trace over the pencil with
fine point marker
Erase all pencil lines, and
FINISHED!
