CUADRO 1:
Theseus and Hippolyta are alone in a living room, they are whispering to each other romantic things.
Egeus arrives to that place pulling his daughters arm (Hermia) Lysander and Demetrius came after
them
Egeus: Oh Theseus my lord! You are the only one that could help me with that. My daughter Hermia is
mad and she wants this guy (pointing to Lysander)... But I already promised her to the honorable
Demetrius.
Hermia: Theseus please dont listen to my father, he is an old-fashioned man. My heart belongs to
Lysander and there is nothing to do about it!
Lysander: Please listen to our beg, this is true love
Demetrius: Oh my God! You have said that to hundreds of innocent girls before!
Lysander: Not so innocent I would like to point out
Theseus: Stop with this childish discussion, the things are simple here. The girl should obey her fathers
orders. Otherwise she should become a nun or die.
Hippolyta: But baby you know that there are some cases in which there is nothing to do to force the
hearth
Theseus: But her fathers pride is in danger, she must obey him.
Theseus, Hippolyta, Egeus and Demetrius leave the place. Hermia and Lysander are now alone. Helena
is listening in a corner.
Hermia: (crying) this is so unfair! I cant imagine myself kissing that idiot!
Lysander: Can you imagine us kissing?
Hermia: Of course and also doing something else (flirty face)
Lysander: So this is what we are going to do: right now that everybody is distracted planning Theseus
weeding we are going to run away together. We are going to find a place in which we can do our things.
Hermia: That sounds perfect for me!
They hugged, Helena listens everything with surprise.
Cuadro 2:
Now in the forest. Titania and Oberon are fighting. Titania is protecting the little Indian child.
Oberon: oh please Titania be reasonable. You are wasting the potential of this girl, she would be an
amazing warrior.
Titania: I already said you that Im not going to leave her alone.
Oberon: please dont make of this little thing a big deal. Just give me the girl, I want to raise her. I
dont like us fighting all the time.
Titania: (protecting the girl with her body) how many times do you need to hear it? NO! I promise to
her mother when she died that I will raise her as my own child.
Oberon: Youre going to regret this Titania.
Cuadro extra: He left shrewish. Puck is hanging out in the forest. He sees a drunk vagabond alone
in the forest, he changes his human head for a donkeys one just for fun.


Cuadro 3
After the discussion between Oberon and Titania
OBERN: Come here my good boy! Do you remember that flower which its juice, with cupids power,
makes people fall in love immediately of the next person in front? Bring it to me.
PUCK: I will round the world in just 40 minutes! Wait for me and this estrange flower
OBERON: Titania will pay this. Once I get that juice, Ill make her to love the first ugly animal around.
But listen, someone is coming!
Demetrio and Helena come running.
DEMETRIO: Where are Lisandro and Hermia? Stop chasing me! I dont love you and I never will do
it!
HELENA: Although you dont love me I cannot stop of doing it with all the strength of my young soul.
DEMETRIO: Go to the town young virgin lady. Let me go alone. If you keep behind me I shall make
you some mischief in the forest.
HELENA: You do me mischief in all places. It doesnt matter; I will follow you until the death.
OBERN: At the end of the night, you will be running away from him and he will seek your love.
(Puck returns) Did you find it?
PUCK: Here it is my lord.
OBERON: Take a little bit from the juice of this flower and streak it into the eyes of a sweet Athenian
lady who is in love with a fool youth. You will do the same but in the eyes of Titania while she sleeps
PUCK: Fear not, my lord, your servant shall do so.
Cuadro 4
Puck arrives where Titania sleeps. Near Lisandro and Hermia are coming.
PUCK: (referring to Titania and streaking the juice against her eyes) whatever you see just when you
wake up it will be your truelove. Either cat, or bear, or boar with bristled hair. Puck leaves the place.
LISANDRO: Oh! Lets stop here my love. I have forgotten our way. We will rest and wait for the
comfort of the day.
HERMIA: Be it so, Lysander: find you out a bed; for I upon this bank will rest my head.
LISANDRO: Come with me! It shall serve us as a pillow for both.
HERMIA: Oh no please, for my sake, my dear, do not lie so near.
LISANDRO: Its ok. I understood. Here is my bed: sleep gives you all his rest!
They sleep and after that Puck is coming
PUCK: Until now I havent found those Athenian which Oberon said. Night and Silence! Look! She
has Athenian dresses; Pretty soul! She is not even able to lie near this lack-love (pointing to Lisandro).
Upon his eyes I throw all the power this charm.
Cuadro 5:
Lisander and Hermia are sleeping in the forest. Meanwhile Demetrius and Helena arrive to the same
place in which Lisander and Hermia are sleeping.
Demetrius: Helena dont follow me. I dont want you to go after me.
Helena: Are you going to leave me alone here?
Demetrius: Oh my god! You can take care of yourself. You are too old to be responsible of what you
do.
Helena: I'm so ugly? ... I am as ugly as a bear How I thought that I could compare myself with
Hermia. She is very fortunate and beautiful Where could be her? She must be enjoying the sweetness
of love. But what I see here is our friend Lysander. Are you alive? Awake, why are you here?
Lysander: What I am seeing. You are the most beautiful creation. I cant believe it. I love you.
Helena: Are you kidding me? Are you drunk? I am Helena I am not Hermia
Lysander: Hermia?... I dont want to be with her She is very boring and the time we passed together
was a torture. I just want to love you. Coke kills coffee. You are better than Hermia. Come here with
your man.
Helena: Come on Dont bother me with those stupid things. I dont deserve that.
Lysander: I am not lying. I love you I hate Hermia. Let me go with you. (He outs of the scenery)
Hermia: (She wakes up and realized that Lysander is no longer with her) Lysander Where are you? I
can believe that you leave me alone.

The drunk vague is peeeing in the forest and singing: Im peeing in the rain! Meanwhile Titania wakes
up because of the noise.
Titania: What is that amazing song? I thought that the angels were singing! But what I see? He is the
most beautiful man I have ever seen. Come here dear man I will make you happy.
Cuadro 6:
Oberon arrives to the place in which Titania is.
Oberon: Hell0 beautiful creature I can see that you are very entertained with a horrible man Oh,
whatever, I come here for something that is mine. (Seeing the little Indian girl)
Titania: Ok Just let me enjoy the giant love in the world. Do whatever you want.
(Oberon takes the little boy and goes away)

Oberon: (to Puck) you have done your job well. Now I have the little girl.
Puck: Yes, my Sir. (Points out) they are the other couple that has been spelled. (Enter Demetrius and
Hermia)
Oberon: What? What stupid thing have you done? Where do you have your mind? They are not the
ones that I said you to spell. Now Demetrius and Lysander love to Helena. Please fix that thing right
now! You are an incompetent.
Puck: I am sorry my Sr. I will fix it. (he sprinkles magic dust on the lovers.)
(Helena and Lysander enter and Demetrius wakes up and the first thing he sees is Helena.)
Demetrius: (to Helena) I love you woman!
Lysander: But if you love Hermia ... I am one who loves Helena
Demetrius: No I leave it. I want Helenas heart.
Hermia: what are you saying? Are you crazy? Come on! Come with me and love me (moving feverish)
Lysander: (To Hermia) That is disgusting Stay Away bandit cat.
Helena: Now both make fun of me? This is a disgrace
Hermia: (To Helena) You seemed so noble and you became the victim! Now you get your claws. I hate
you! I trusted you. (Moving in a sarcastic way)
Helena: Now you can play in this joke too.
Cuadro 7:
After the discussion they leave the place. Oberon and Puck arrive.
Oberon: See your negligence. Do you always wrong or do your mischief on purpose?
Puck: Believe me, my king, it was a mistake.
Cuadro extra: Lysander, Hermia, Demetrius and Helena are now deeply slept on the floor.
Oberon: Dear lovers, keep your dream while on your eyes I apply the remedy that will fix your
feelings. When you wake up you'll be back in love with which always have been your wish. (Lovers are
on the scene, asleep)
Titania is near with Donkeys head, Oberon walks back. Titania flatters and caresses Bottom.
Oberon: Do you see the show? Her falling in love begins to pity me. I'll fix this myself. (Blows magic
dust on it and she awakens from her trance) Now awake, Titania, my queen!
Titania: Oh! I dreamed that I was in love with a donkey!
Oberon: There is your false love(points out Bottom) Puck, now you take that donkey head. (Puck
removes the spell)
Titania: What happened? Now just horrifies me.
Oberon: (Speaking to the sleepers) Keep your sweet sleep.
Titania, Oberon and Puck leave the place when they hear people coming.
Cuadro 8:
Theseus, Egeus and Hippolyta came; they are looking for the guys.
Hippolyta: Oh look! (pointing with his finger towards the group of sleepers) There are Hermia,
Lisandro, Helena and Demetrius! And they are still asleep, what happened here?
Theseus: I am amazed to find them all together.
Egeus: (Talking to Theseus) Today is the day that Hermia must decide about the wedding, right?
Theseus: Oh yes, my lord.
Hippolyta: (Talking to the sleepers) Good morning everybody! Its time to wake up!
Lysander: (kneeling to Theseus) Beg your pardon! Our intention was to escape together to realize our
dream of love, or not, Hermia? (Points out Hermia and hugs her)
Demetrius: Everything is so confusing but Im sure about what my feelings for Hermia were not real
because I just love Helena. (takes her hand)
Theseus: (Smiling) Good luck brings them together now!. Later we will hear more about the whole
mess, for now we will make all three weddings.
Demetrius: (completely awake) I think we are still sleeping that we dream.
Hermia: Is it real? Are we going to be finally married?
----------------Silence----------
Cuadro extra: The three couples are now married smiling and the scene freezes to make way for
Puck, Titania and Oberon.
Puck: Now everything is in the correct place and this is our time: the night. The magic space for fairies
and elves.
Three are moving away singing.
