design
Prediction of structural behavior of
a composite cylinder is complicated
because of the anisotropy of
composite layers, varying fiber
orientations and thickness, material
and geometrical non-linear behavior,
and residual stresses after
autofrettage pressurization, etc.
This analysis requires a specialized
finite element techniques and
complementary analysis tools.
Analysis
Analysis model is constructed using
a preprocessor which is specialized
for a composite cylinder.
Stress distributions are determined
using 3-dimensional non-liner finite
element techniques, which can
account for the anisotropy of
composite layers, and material and
geometrical non-liner behavior of
type 3 composite cylinders.
Qualification Testing
We engineer our products to perform
in all the ways that meet or exceed
customer expectations, and this level
of quality will be maintained throughout
the manufacturing process.
For each cylinder design type, qualification
tests are performed according to
agency requlations.
