Project Description:

The GE Entergy services wants to build a standard platform by which they want
to do the Data Conversion from legacy to Oracle eBS. So, the DCT is introducing us a
platform to do the data conversion irrespective to the P&Ls (Profit and Loss) across the
GE Energy business. DCT is integrated in Oracle Apps and can be accessed by oracle
eBS designated user. DCT will provide us (business users) a very intelligent and user
friendly interface by which we can handle the maximum conversion objects within a
short period of time and with high accuracy. The DCT will provide a structured, user
friendly and intelligent interface by which Small/ Medium/ Large scale data conversions
can be done in various GE Data Conversion engagements. The DCT tool allows
conversion of any legacy data when a P&L switches to the Oracle ERP from any legacy
system.

Contribution

Project Description:
In this project the GEHC having his own Business across the world. Now they
want to create one new Operation unit (Singapore Operation Unit) and
add this as a distribution operating unit with their existing Business.
Basically the Requirement was to create the PTOActive Items under the new
Organizations and related all the BOMs. To upload Items and BOMs from Flat file to
staging table, we used SQL LOADER program. After that we did Item and BOM
Conversion also.
Apart from this we need to create 12 reports among those Report 4 Reports ware
New Custom Reports on WIP, INV modules and Remaining are some customization of
Existing Standard Reports. These all Reports the users want in Excel format and the
output file automatically come in their Mail ID. So, we need to write shell program and
also we used shell program to send JOB Gate Pass alert mail.
In case Form 6i , we did some Form Personalization on standard Forms. We did
almost 6 Form Personalization to fulfill the client requirements. The all Personalization
related to Oracle QA i.e. Quality module.

The Oil & Gas acquired one Company (named PII, one UK Based Company).
The PII Company’s data are in Apps. 11.5.7 and Client want to upload those date in
existing Apps 11.5.10 with changing GL account and adding some Operating units across
the world. Not only that the Business want some Organization splitting also, so PII will
spread across Germany, USA, Canada, Mexico, Argentina, Brazil, Venezuela and
Cramlington . This PII Oracle Implementation project has 6 Modules (like INV,PA,
AP,PO, AR, GL) and within these total 23 Components .

In this project we need to bring complete system for PII from oracle 11.5.7
instance (Oracle 9i Database) to oracle 11.5.10 Instance (Database 10g).
A number of conversion and interface we need to develop for bringing
all the data from old instance to new instance like conversions are AR
Customer Master, Item Conversion,
BOM conversion, GL Daily Rates Conversion, Purchase Order Conversion, PO
Requisitions, AP Invoices, On Hand Quantity, Avg. Cost, FA Assets,
Employee Master Conversion, AP Banks, AP Closed Invoices, AP
Vendors and interfaces are CMF, GE-cars, ETL Time sheets and Cpars
etc. Here we handled a large volume of data and we converted them with
100% efficiency.
