Website Title: Hope4Helpless

Statement of Purpose: Hope for the Helpless exists to mobilize people and necessities to express love and hope to those
in need.
Objectives:
The web site will inform the audience about the current issues that Hope for the Helpless is involved in.
The web site will inform the audience how Hope for the Helpless is addressing current issues it is involved in.
The web site will provide information about what the organization does and how the audience can get involved.
The web site will engage the audience mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.
The web site will engage the audience through opportunities of charitable giving of money, resources, and time.
Audience: The web site will have several different audiences including members, supporters, volunteers, and those who
are being served by Hope for the Helpless. The audience will involve those who are familiar with Hope for the Helpless
and use the web site to stay up to date. The audience will involve those who are unfamiliar with Hope for the Helpless and
who are being introduced to it through the web site. This audience will be looking for information about what the
organization does, why it exists, and hopefully how they can get involved. The audience will also involve people who are
looking for help from the organization. This audience will be most interested in the details of the services that are
provided.

About Family

Greg and Rachael McGaha live in McDonough, Georgia with their three children Ryland, Grace, and Emma. Hope for
the Helpless was established as a non-profit organization in 2012. Through local and foreign missions Hope for the
Helpless expresses love and hope to those in need.

The web 2.0 Prezi will introduce each family member with photos.

Contact information will include Gregs email address, Hope for Helpless email address, and the mailing address.


Antigua, Guatemala Project

This area will include content for the project in Antigua, Guatemala. The content is subject to change.

The 2013 Guatemala Team worked at the Santa Maria De Jesus Feeding Center. The team helped feed over 200
children. The money raised from the 24 Hour Famine will continue to fund the Feeding Center. The team also
helped with the building of the new feeding center. The team shared Gods love through crafts, singing, puppets,
and Bible stories with the children at the feeding center. The team also had the opportunity to install water
filtration systems into homes in need of clean water.

The web 2.0 Voicethread will include a digital story about the feeding center along with a Google map.





Panajachel, Guatemala Project

This area will include content for the project in Panajachel, Guatemala. The content is subject to change.

The 2013 Guatemala Team worked in Panajachel building a home for a local indigenous family.

Fundraisers

This month the youth from Sharon Baptist Church participated in the Hope for the Helpless 24 Hour Famine. The
youth committed to fast, with only water to drink, for 24 hours. The participants built and slept in card board boxes,
walked a 3 mile round trip to get water to drink, made blankets and other crafts for the 2013 Guatemala Mission Trip,
ministered to a local neighborhood through having a cook out to feed them lunch, and all without eating! The
participants were sponsored through monetary pledges and raised money to aide the Feeding Center in Antigua,
Guatemala.

The video is a commercial created for the 24 Hour Famine Fundraiser. The slide show includes photos of the 24 Hour
Famine.


Media Center

The media center will include extra photos and videos that will be uploaded to the site. The current video will be from
You Tube. It is about perspectives. In this video first world problems are read by third world people and it will move
the audience to consider what their problems really are. All photos will be original photos and some photos will be
altered or enhanced for artistic purposes.


How to Help-Pray

This area will include prayer needs for each project areas.
